$2,500 for ingestion rights… makes me… all kinds of 😡. Publishers selling out their long term viability for short term profits 😡. Financially embattled creators (most are) having to refuse $2,500 😡. A.I. companies being proven right in their belief that book publishing can be bought 😡.

Art drawn by people who very rarely make art and think they are “bad at art” is 1000x cooler than AI art. It’s life-affirming. It’s often unexpected. I cannot overemphasize how much I love when people just go for it. You do not need the machine for this human endeavor.

Because sometimes people need to hear this: If you want to make some art, just make it. If you're worried it's going to be bad, that's fine. Make bad art just because you want to try. You don't have to show it to anyone if you don't want to. You don't have to finish it either! Just do it for fun!
