If you're worried it's going to be bad, that's fine. Make bad art just because you want to try. You don't have to show it to anyone if you don't want to. You don't have to finish it either!

But, yeah, no matter how hard I try everything I make looks like I made it.
And bad art is still art.
Make the worst, ugliest thing you can manage. Just total disaster.
Afterwards you have 1. Made a thing, which beats not making a thing and 2. Proven you know enough about what’s good to do the opposite and 3. Can do better next time by accident.

Making art is a skill. You'll make a lot of bad art before you make good art. That's just how it works. Trust the process.
If anything, use it as an excuse to Art freely & w/out restraint.
Nothing beats the stress relief of knowing it’s a first try and isn’t expected to work at all. Second best is going back to something you haven’t done in a while and relearning it.

Scribble, sketch, get things wrong on purpose, muck around with loads of different styles and be crap at stuff. It's much more fun.
