Too lazy to look it up, but feels like Spurs 17 year trophy drought was shorter than the amount of years since we started the season at home on Saturday at 3pm.

Nathan for the first 12 minutes when discussing (most) of the new coaches/analysts:

Truly, remote work is the root of all of life’s problems (citation needed).

dads love to fall asleep on the couch

Found out The Accountant 2 is streaming on Prime and it seems extremely dad coded, will report back with my dad opinions later.

Everybody wins with Tel to Spurs for €35m.

I’m both really excited about Thomas Frank at Spurs and also very worried about him working within Spurs current football structure. Also very worried that the squad is overvalued internally and that there is not an appreciation of how much work needs to be done if Frank wants to win things.

If Spurs spend £50-60m on Mbeumo I'm really not excited by our talent evaluation process.

You know who else should block this attempt? Spurs.

Good luck to Thomas Frank, obviously, hope he succeeds. But let’s not kid ourselves into thinking that success will come from somewhere else than squad quality and depth. Give Frank that and Spurs will be cooking with gas.

Losing your best player is a much bigger deal than a new manager.

Frank won’t even be confirmed before the summer window opens up again on the 16th at this rate.

The prem is in a bit of a control vs. chaos meta at the moment, with managers on both extremes. It’s usually big, rich clubs that want control and smaller clubs want chaos. However, looking at the squad, I wonder if Frank initially looks to setup Spurs as more chaotic, but with better players.

Only 3 hours and 56 minutes until the transfer window slams SHUT and Spurs have signed zero players.

Assuming Spurs turnover is £550m for 2025/26, 60% wages to turnover would be £330m, meaning the club has £100m+ of headroom. Even if you remove the interest payments (£30m), that's 6-7 players making £200k a week in headroom. Cut it in half and get 3-4 high wage players. Please act rich, Spurs.

The Gray stat is fucking wild.

If Spurs don't sign anyone in this weird, early summer window (June 1 - June 10) I am going to act like its 2018 all over again and you can't stop me.

Doing something really perverted and re-watching Brentford (2) - Fulham (3) from Matchweek 37. I'm sure I will have nothing to report and gain no insights.

All aboard Thomas (Frank) the Tank Engine! Toot toot! Or Thomas Train? I dunno, something something blue British train toys.
