and I don't know if it's an intentional part of his comedy persona or just him as a person, but he's very neurotic, very obvious about it. but when he or others try to riff on it, they always get blocked. he was at his best on tm, really funny, but it still happened so much in the studio.

Always Sunny on par with Friends? Doesn't stick to it as rigidly, but uses it so well for punchlines in the actual episode. The fact it became a huge meme has to take it really high.
Jessica Jones weak as hell, just starting everything with "AKA" because... it's Alias comics? Real clever.

I think Seinfeld counts as weak, just leading (almost) every episode with "The," compared to Friends with the iconic "The One With..."
But Community takes the cake, and Rick & Morty is also very good (but doesn't stick to it every episode.)

I'm a defender of westworld post season 1, but even I admit they did fumble it quite a bit. but aos s4 does it quicker, better & cheaper, while also wearing several other hats. points are always against the mystery box approach
