Part 3 twisted spoon shaped tail feathers and then the bird shot off after some shorebirds down the mudflat from me... there aren't a lot of birders in the immediate area but a couple managed to chase it the next day! Sadly I was carrying 3 fly rods and didn't have a camera (it was back in the car!)

Shannon - I am with you, every. single. step. of the way. I am equally affected by the horrors of what happened and is described in The Feather Thief. The history alone of how absolutely immoral in every-way people behaved then, and now makes my head hurt, my stomach turn and my heart break.
