Great idea! Since Palestinians have experienced their own genocide in the last year, let's give them a new state in... Israel for example?

For instance, he has no class, no charm, no coolness, no credibility, no compassion, no wit, no warmth, no wisdom, no subtlety, no sensitivity, no self-awareness, no humility, no honour and no grace... Epic!

Por hacer eso en Kosovo a una escala mucho más reducida y sin matar a miles de personas, Europa y EEUU declararon la guerra a Serbia. Con Israel, el silencio es clamoroso e intolerable.

Going instance-specific for 3 years makes little sense for just single-digit % extra savings, unless you are very sure of the machine type. Usually makes sense to use the general one for 3 years. If there is uncertainty on the 3 years timeframe, go with 1 year family-specific savings plans.
comment in response to post
The options now are: * "general" compute saving plan: ~28% 1 year / 50% 3 years (no upfront) * instance family savings plan: ~37% 1 year / 50-60% 3 years, depending on the instace (no upfront)

AWS didn't thought this well, and there were users buying with custom discounts at bulk and reselling RIs for a profit. AWS started by forbidding reselling RIs with custom discounts, and the plan to remove RIs altogether was well known.

The biggest drawback is that the savings plans are not re-sellable. Reserved instances used to have a secondary marketplace in AWS, where you can buy and sell unused RIs, and this was lowering the risk quite a lot. There were 3rd parties automating the whole marketplace thing.

Si los modelos están logrando raciocinio, estarán acojonados con el cambio climático, no como el ser humano que parece cada vez menos racional, dispuesto a ignorar señales claras y a creer bulos y a bufones...
