I want to be able to mourn without hurting myself, too. when it comes to things like war many of us need to see this imagery and getting it out there is a good thing, but we need to be able to choose what disturbing things we let imprint on our minds. we can't just mindlessly consume this stuff

be mindful of the images you allow in your brain. many of us grew up seeking out the most morbid, strange stuff we could find and I don't think this has been healthy for our souls. everything we see we carry with us whether we want to or not or whether we realize it or not

especially in a space like this where so many are trying project a certain kind of a persona, and in an industry where most of us have very limited time to spend scrolling on social media. it's not productive, it adds nothing, it just makes you feel superior

I have to limit how much time I spend on any social media because it's SO easy for me to lose track of time, like it's good to call out people for doing bad things but to act like we should all be studying the posts of the people we follow to monitor them in case they do something bad is absurd
