Appreciate the pātai. Te Pāti Māori won’t let Aotearoa import UK/US-style hate. We reject attacks on trans, non-binary and takatāpui whānau. That’s not who we are. Our Te Tiriti commitment means protecting mana, inclusion, and whānau safety. Whakapapa over wedges. Manaakitanga over fear. Always.

When you combine oil company donations and car dealer donations it becomes really clear why none of our MPs are willing to suggest burning less oil

If we went with evidence we'd have to admit that our persecution of these people is just pure unjustified hatred And that would make us "the baddies" So we ignore the evidence and pretend made-up anecdotes are real

All three should get towed But enforcement is not a priority any more Instead they want to remove road cones that protect workers

Rates are a tax on landowners who are the wealthiest in any community It is a progressive tax - the richer you are the more you pay It is a good thing, where those with the most contribute more to help the community as a whole prosper Those opposing rates are displaying their selfishness

But importantly it will be a MAN doing all the stuff that was previously being done by a woman

How many healthy lunches (not the slop ACT supplies) would that money buy?

The fact the council is led by a competent young brown woman also appears to be a major problem for those who are complaining Even Labour, who should be supporting The Green candidate, have decided to put their own stale male up to oppose her

Wow it's as if all the folks who said it was just a payout to make scumlords richer were right all along Lucky our MPs are protecting the wealth and avarice of the landlords, you'd never guess that most of our MPs are landlords

All the NZF MPs are corrupt and stupid But they accurately represent their voters

"But I'll only be a minute" 30 minutes later the tow truck arrives and they rush out to try and stop them

LoL A significant number of drivers have no clue how the lights are triggered - they hang back (for reasons) and then the light doesn't go green at all Even more subtle they don't know that the frequency with which cars cross those sensors affects how long signals stay green

The Regulatory Standards Bill is the most scary one It essentially allows The Minister of Regulation to modify and/or veto any bill that Parliament passes The Minister of Regulation becomes the equivalent of the US President Oh and that Minister is David Seymour!!!!!!!!!!!
comment in response to post
There isn't enough glitter in NZ to make anything of him
comment in response to post
Worth noting that the coalition agreement says it will PASS the RSB This bill will make Seymour effectively president of NZ

As rough estimate 8% of voters are racist, possibly higher if you count the NZF voters with the ACT voters

Speaking as a paying member of @thespinoff.bsky.social this is really disppointing Perhaps I'm being naive to imagine any media outlet would resist the bias
