He came on to my feed there to try to call me out. His supporters joined in and then he blocked me. Heās a real piece of work. Note his banner pic.

And it takes training, coordination, communication, aggressiveness, speed, and all-arms cooperation (to the point of integration). Manoeuvre.

So, should Ukraine be a NATO member? Absolutely. And thereās no real reason that the alliance canāt make this clear.
But full membership while the fighting is ongoing is likely a non-starter. Moreover, there are three obstructionist governments that must be dealt with.
I wish it werenāt so.

* There would be issues surrounding Article 5. Ukraine is actively at war with Russia. Would membership commit NATO to *combat* operations in support of their new member? Many - if not most - countries would be extremely hesitant to take this on.

* New members must be approved unanimously. Right now, there are at least two governments - Hungary and Slovakia - that would block membership
* I have no confidence that the US would support Ukraineās bid, given that Trump is in office

The SEAD plan would take hold and that would be that.
Russian kit is shit, but their tactics are far, far worse.

The RU military establishment has been junk for decades and their flailing in Ukraine has brought it out in spades. Human wave attacks and artillery. No tactical air, no mass, no manoeuvre, no imagination, nothing.
And their strategic forces arenāt any better.
