Woe to you, oh earth and sea For the Devil sends the beast with wrath Because he knows the time is short Let him who hath understanding reckon the number of the beast For it is a human number

People keep asking why far-right alternative media outlets got to ask so many questions The reason, once again, is because Rebel threatened to go to court and get an injunction. The Debates Commission backed down and agreed to let Rebel have one person from each of its regional "divisions"

Seems time to state once again, that I know and love trans people, I know and love genderqueer people, I know and love autistic people. (And I know people for whom those realities overlap!) They are not a burden to society and their existence does not threaten me, my gender or my life in any way.

Wonder how you lose your democracy? Proactively giving legitimacy to peddlers of disinformation is definitely near the top of the list.

The Debate Commission should consult Federal Court decision where Rebel Media was found to be not engaged in production of original news content & not entitled to ““qualified Canadian journalism organization”” designation. Scared? Get better lawyers. Stand up for democracy.

The Debate Commission’s decision to give questions to Rebel Media & other rage farming, disinformation outlets (who focus on attacking progressive politicians & their families as I well know) at expense of credible news organizations is not only absurd, it degrades our democracy.

Where’s Pierre?! He’s missed every debate in Carleton, he doesn’t answer emails from his constituents, and he only visited this riding by accident last week. Help us win. Sign up to volunteer this weekend! event.liberal.ca/en/events/35...

Quite an exposĂŠ from the Times on the Ontario Place deal www.nytimes.com/2025/04/16/w...

Umm.... Well I guess there goes SCOTUS.

RFK Jr. is about the worst human alive. That said, my son is one of those kids who will never play baseball or write a poem, etc. Advocates, please don't erase the existence of kids like my son in your slamming of this clown.

FYI: @pressprogress.ca’s journalistic standards have specific rules prohibiting our journalists from grandstanding / posing theatrical questions, disrupting press conferences or randomly ambushing news subjects in public, because that behaviour is toxic and stupid pressprogress.ca/journalistic...

My last thought on this because I need some Offline Time: Because of their fear of being defined as "not neutral" or "biased," the bodies who label "journalists" and adjudicate access are increasingly complicit in the destruction of our information ecosystem. Meet the moment and grow a spine.

So the debate commission decided the Green Party isn’t a party, but that Rebel News is journalism? A bad call. In a democracy, misinformation is not journalism.

Terriblerrific news

There’s also an appalling level of credulity to this coverage - as if “separatism” comes out of nowhere. It doesn’t. There’s a whole lot of disinformation and misinformation that fuels it.

Liar, liar, pants on fire! 👍 Pierre Poilievre just lied.

He is still only talking to his base this is why he will never be Prime Minister!

A vote for Poilievre is a vote for the 51st State. I vote for Canada. #CarneyforPM

💊 Pharmacare 🦷 Dentalcare ➡️ Smart investments in Canadians 🇨🇦! Meanwhile, #AxeTheTax feels meaningless when we’re facing real crises: climate, healthcare, housing, education. PP comes off as the most out of touch & least trustworthy. #DebatDesChefs #CanadaSky #TeamCarney #NeverPoilievre #Elxn45

PM Carney takes questions from ALL media outlets. Unvetted. He takes more than 3 times the number of Poilievre who accepts only questions in advance and from friendly media. A PM is a PM for ALL Canadians. Not a select few. Poilievre is not Prime Minister material. Period. #cdnpoli

Today I'm finding out which people believe that if you're part of a population that is a small overall percentage of humans on the planet, it's okay to strip you of rights. I wonder if they have considered how easy it would be to classify *them* into a small overall percentage, and do it to them.

PP's threats to use the notwithstanding clause is alarming, especially given what's happening south of the border. And now we see Danielle Smith's Bill 53 which forces people into involuntary treatment. We need to fight to shut down the erosion of our rights under the Charter of Rights and Freedoms!

Honestly I'm glad they picked Harvard to try out this novel "we're mad" legal theory of revoking tax-exempt status, given its infinite resources, deep network of powerful alumni, and law school attended by 142 sitting federal judges. Good luck! 🫡

I framed the shot of me that the Blue Jays used in their season promo video because I am both an embarrassing baseball dork and a ... well, no, that's actually it, never mind

“We must remember always that accusation is not proof and that conviction depends upon evidence and due process of law. … “We can deny our heritage and our history, but we cannot escape responsibility for the result.” —Edward R. Murrow, March 9, 1954

In my experience, there are two main kinds of Canadian firearm owners: those who regard their gun as an indispensible but quite dangerous tool, like a chainsaw or a backhoe; others, a valuable collectable, like a Swiss watch or a luxury sportscar. Then there's a bunch asshats who think it's magic.

88%. I'm sure that wasn't intentional at all...🙄 Racist pricks.

I tracked down Rob Pegatto, former YTV game show host and Toronto Raptors on-court announcer, who appears in the “Do You Believe The Polls?” group’s Instagram videos Pegatto told me he was hired by Mississauga casino owner Paul Micucci, the group's leader and a big donor to Doug Ford’s Ontario PCs

As British soldiers were being evacuated from Dunkirk, the 1st Canadian Division was already in the UK as the only fully armed force to defend the shores. This photo of Canadians in the Battle of Britain is displayed across from our parliament. We fought fascism from day 1. Don't fuck with us.

Just like fRump cancelling USAID.

Vote! #cdnpoli

I got goosebumps looking at this.

I was hoping this was AI when I first saw it. Sadly, it isn’t. Is this barbarism?

Folks, we've been back at Queen's Park for two days now and after working 24-7 all week so far I think my team of all-star MPPs could really use a summer break now to help them recharge their batteries and start campaigning for the 2029 election.

I went out EasteringÂŽ today for my wife, and stopped at Stubbe's off Wellington West. Got a few bars of dark chocolate, a small bunny, and 1 of these. Also stopped at Purdy's.

And this guy is part of a team that wants to annex MY country??? HELL no. I have already written *and* illustrated books. To my best recollection, I have been paying income tax on every job I've ever held. I will not submit.

I wish that support in companies understood that "I will stop paying for/using your product" and use a competitors is often the fastest/easiest solution and I'm not going to jump through ridiculous hoops in order to figure out a problem that they created. BUH-bye. Bonus: US-based company.

This dog got a little impatient waiting for his pup cup. Decided to make sure everything was going alright in there. 14/10

tfw you're sitting right on top of a giant blaring cautionary tale

"I haven't followed Canadian politics closely, but when a politician talks of limiting free press, activities at universities & defying the courts, it's the canary in a coal mine for autocracy" - Harvard University Professor when asked his opinion on Pierre Poilievre. #Canada #cdnpoli #elxn45

This is some seriously fucked up shit.

Sure, let's definitely put this guy in charge of everything. "While she was pregnant, Musk had urged her to deliver the baby via caesarean section (Musk has posted on X that vaginal births limit brain size and that C-sections allow for larger brains)..." www.wsj.com/politics/elo...

First, Pierre Poilievre voted against the Canadian Dental Care Plan. Then, he spent a year pretending it didn’t exist — now he wants you to believe that he would protect it.

“Voting against $10/day daycare, dental care, school meal programs and minimum wage increases doesn’t help more Canadians become parents. Poilievre’s interest in women’s breeding abilities reeks of alt-right natalism without the social programs to support it.” An editorial by @mtltoula.bsky.social.

Rebel News embarrasses conservatives by feeding them half-truths and nonsense. Every time a conservative friend opens their mouth, they throw down some "fact" they learned from Rebel, only to be absolutely eviscerated by the truth.
