Canada eliminated pennies a few years ago. From the time it was announced pennies simply disappeared in a matter of weeks. The transition was quick and easy. If your change was under 5 cents it’s rounded down and over 5 cents rounded up. I’m no fan of Trump but this is a good decision.

The farmers should be praying that the coming spring and summer will have adequate rainfall. Snowpacks are below average. Trump just wasted their reserve supply. How does someone this reckless get to wield such power?

Canadians will not soon forget that the US betrayed our trust. We used to think that a commitment made by our neighboring nation meant something.

Elon should be charged or heavily fined if he accessed the private personal information of Americans without proper authorization. Trump will throw him under the bus, then pardon him. The publicity will help shed light onto what nefarious activities Elon is engaged in.

I believe that Trump was testing Canadian resolve to determine if he could use financial pressure to force Canada to relinquish our rights to our natural resources. We gave him our answer.

Our Trump clone had been pretty quiet lately. If he speaks up and criticizes Trump in support of the government of Canada, he will lose much of his rural base. Canada has a similar urban / rural divide as the US.

I am currently in China with a group of Chinese executives. They all view Donald Trump with contempt.

Is the current state of AI? Epstein has no legs, there is a mystery hand on his shoulder and the arm of the young woman on his right seems rather long. Then again, there is nothing normal about Epstein.

A system like the high capacity blue fire hydrants in Vancouver BC, that are fed water pumped from the ocean, would have helped. The salt water could have saved homes at lower levels and allowed more fresh water to reach the hillside hydrants.

In Vancouver BC there is an auxiliary system of high capacity blue fire hydrants that are fed by water pumped directly from the ocean. They were installed as part of the city’s earthquake preparedness program. Each of these extra large hydrants can supply 4 pumper trucks at once.

If he wasn’t in our face every day, it would be easier to become complacent. Even though I am a Canadian, I know how much damage he can do to our economy. MAGA toxicity has also divided Canadians. We have an election this fall, and it appears that a majority of Canadians have fallen for populism.

Vancouver BC earthquake preparedness includes high capacity blue fire hydrants that are fed directly from the ocean (in case the quake damages the water supply). These would have helped in Los Angeles to prevent their hillside hydrants from running out of water.

I would never have thought that. My FB page was flooded with divisive memes targeting gullible conservatives. They just reinforced the false stereotype that all conservatives are gullible. I thought most conservatives would call out the BS, but instead they fed on it, and amplified it.

The demand for water at lower levels has hindered the ability supply water to the hillside fire hydrants. In Vancouver, in addition to regular hydrants, there are auxiliary high capacity blue hydrants that are supplied by water pumped from the ocean. These are for emergency use.
