In other words I trust Democratic legislators who have more to lose than their own careers a lot more than people who, for some suspicious reason, act like they are safe at times like this.

I just can't imagine being a Democratic legislator with a long career and feeling all safe and cozy like they were in some kind of enclave that would keep their family safe no matter what happens in Washington. I am terrified of MAGA and that is a healthy natural response.

Can we have lights that turn on when people are around and turn off when people are not around? I bet there's a cheap AI way to do this.

Can someone please tell me why Hogg is opposed by the mainstream Democratic Party? He has always seemed decent to me.

The goal is not to get rid of all immigrants. The goal is to create a legal framework for 2 kinds of slavery: in prison and out of prison.

Trump does not have any problem with gangs as long as they are loyal to him.

Trump is stupid but nobody really thinks he is smart. They elected him to wreck the lives of many people. Not for revenge. For the lulz.

AND we cannot count on legislators to change laws that affect the interests of legislators. We need a direct national referendum on all branches of government. I don't care if it is precedented or "legal", it must be done, now.

The masterminds of the Cold War tore the post-Kennedy Democratic Party to shreds, and the Democrats were stupid enough to fall into every trap. We are still playing by the these same tired talking points today.

We cannot defeat MAGA by following rules.

Nothing is illegal unless there are punishments. Laws are useless as words. They only matter as actions. The fact that people believe the Constitution is real only empowers the people who know it is not real.

Trump does not want America to thrive. He wants America to be so completely ruined it can be sold.

MAGA is not concerned about a brain drain; they don’t believe in science and they think intelligence is weakness like empathy.
Nobody in the GOP or Silicon Valley will put their foot down. This will go unchecked.

Who are the hard-left? What are their positions? Why is it that the “hard left” are portrayed as ideological purists ? Anyone who is “staid” is conservative. Anyone who favors dogma over action is conservative. Anyone who believes tradition is more important than discovery is conservative.

The same chess players who “won” the Cold War have been systematically dismantling democracy in this century. They started out trying to defend democracy. Then they promoted capitalism instead. Now they have contempt for rogue oligarchs and just want emperors to control everything. That’s it.

The oligarchs are just the spoiled, entitled, exceptionalist henchmen. They may even think they are running the show, but they are really just pawns.
