I've never seen a picture do it justice, especially not my phone camera pics. These look cool, but the eclipse itself looked like a hole in the sky surrounded by luminous threads of diamond. I've been an atheist for over a decade and it's the closest I've come to a spiritual experience.

Build-up part 2!
Partial eclipse is always bizarre, almost otherworldly. The sun is noticeably dimmer and cooler, almost as if it's overcast, but you've still got the well-defined shadows you get during sunny weather. It's really cool if you know to look for it!
