Plenty, that it was a kingdom…king David. King Solomon etc. have you ever considered why modern Israel was “created” in its current location? That’s because that is, roughly, where historic Israel was located when the first temple was built etc.

It was a kingdom! Which was occupied territory by the Roman’s at the time of Jesus, but it was a kingdom hundreds of years before the Roman’s were even a thing.

King David, from the Bible, was the king of of Israel! Israel has been a thing for thousands of years…is it the same thing as Israel today? No, of course not but it was a historic “nation” as well as a modern one.
