As always, Bret Stephens demands that the USA does Netanyahu’s bidding. When will the Times hire a columnist who is as relentless a critic of Bibi as Stephens is a promoter of every bomb Bibi drops, no matter on whom?

Nobody on his “news” network, which relentlessly promoted his book, dared to do what this woman did. And she was too kind. In covering Israel, Tapper often acts like he works for Bibi TV. A bad journalist

Erin Burnett says she won’t show Iranian state TV. Then she brings on Neftali Bennett to spew pro-war propaganda. I hate to say it, but she is no Tucker Carlson

Tucker Carlson is a neo-fascist , but no CNN anchor has either the knowledge or the objectivity to
do an interview this effective.

Friedman’s argument is Bibi lite. It reinforces the Bibi lite message of Jeremy Bash earlier on the program. This is the same 2003-style beltway wisdom that cheered the Iraq invasion. Here is a view you won’t hear (but should) on MJ www.tiktok.com/t/ZP8rkMm8q/

More CNN bias: Jared Moskowitz, a passionately pro-Israel congressman, is brought on for “analysis”

More CNN bias: not showing an Iranian official answering questions from Europeans. Israel did not have to bomb Iranian TV to prevent any Iranian perspective from appearing on CNN.

Why Democrats lose, part 50: Finney, who is supposed to be a Democrat, just fell into the both sides trap. Ana Navarro,a Republican, eloquently made the correct point re Trump not calling Tim Waltz. CNN Democrats defang themselves

Iran’s Supreme Leaser has issued odious threats against Israel, but he has forbidden development of nukes. & the JCPOA showed that his fatwa against nukes could be verified. In other words, Iran's nonexistent pursuit of nukes could have been stopped without losing a single Israeli or Iranian life
comment in response to
post
Give Israel bunker busters to end the nuke program? Israel has already expanded its war aims beyond eliminating the "nuke program" to eliminating Iran's missiles & crippling its economy.
& Israel has shown that it needs no excuse to use any weapon provided to it anywhere on anyone, for any reason.

Israel just bombed an Iranian news agency while a female anchor was broadcasting. My guess is that the “journalists”’of CNN won’t show the images or say a word about it.

Friedman writes: "Iran invited that, vastly accelerating its enrichment of uranium to near weapons grade." This shows forgetfulness or bias on Friedman's part: Iran joined the JCPOA to avoid all this but Bibi helped torpedo the deal.
Until yesterday, Iran was trying to negotiate a new JCPOA.

On Al Jazeera, the remarks of the Israeli UN ambassador are being broadcast live. It is like a segment of the Tapper show. The difference is that earlier al Jazeera broadcast the remarks of the Iranian ambassador live. Al Jazeera does journalism, CNN not so much.
comment in response to

I usually don’t watch the Tapper programs, but today it is fascinating to see his morphing into an anchor for Bibi TV—even showing an address by BIbi while a UN meeting on the crisis was in progress.
comment in response to

Jake Tapper as is to be expected is giving an open microphone to a former IDF Spokesman -whom he calls “Jonathan”—and who is giving answers 100% in line with the wishes of Netanyahu. No Iranian voice permitted. It’s Bibi TV all the way. Not reporting but propaganda.
comment in response to

Al Jazeera is interviewing someone in an Israeli bomb shelter. Earlier, it interviewed someone in Iran. CNN does the former, never the latter. Which is the real news channel?
comment in response to
post
Finally, a real reporter, Christiane Amanpour, someone capable of being objective, is allowed to speak on CNN, breaking through the wall of de facto IDF spokespeople.
comment in response to
post
I switched to Al Jazeera just in time to finally hear some objective analysis: this IS a preemptive strike — against a U.S. deal with Iran.
comment in response to
post
Spider Marks sounds like an IDF spokesman. Is there no objective analyst available to CNN? iran’s regime is reprehensible, but Bibi Netanyahu is a war criminal. Yet on the Cooper show he is the good guy by default.
comment in response to

Leave it to Anderson Cooper to bring on a right wing Israeli politician and Netanyahu enabler Bret McGurk for
“analysis.”

Ezra Klein does a service with this interview. Of course, voices like Olmert’s should have been amplified in the USA throughout the Gaza war. But most big US media has been of Ben Gavir & Smotrich’s party without acknowledging it. CNN’s stars still are.But this may force some to look in the mirror.

Remember this: the deployment of troops to Los Angeles is a dress rehearsal for the deployment of troops to swing state polling places during the 2028 presidential election, and perhaps the 2026 midterms. Wake up, people!
comment in response to

CNN’s “reporter,” discussing the military training for deployment in Los Angeles, sounds like a Pentagon spokesperson, giving the viewpoint of the Hegseth Pentagon, not viewpoint of the law or constitution. She is ready for FoxNews

Only when he was asked what the protestors message is did Carroll actually stop spewing Trumpisms and report for a moment what protestors were saying.
comment in response to

Erin Burnett is SO much better a reporter than Jason Carroll. She can see points of view other than those of the officers. He is like a police spokesman.
comment in response to

Jason Carroll characterizes yelling and insults (constitutionally protected) as a prelude to violence. He interviews NOBODY. CNN: hire a reporter. You can afford one.
comment in response to

Emphasizing any conflict or violence he can find, CNN’s Jason Carroll is reporting on this event in precisely the way that allowed the overwhelmingly peaceful George Floyd protests to be demonized.

This is an EVIL man who deserves any punishment he gets. But to bring on Bari Weiss, who often works to delegitimize the effort to grant Palestinians equal human rights-& to let her use this evil man as an emblem of pro-Palestinian protest: that’s not right. Bring on Mehdi Hassan for a response.

The comments here in support of starvation of Palestinians are in stark contrast to the remarks of a former Israeli prime minister, made on CNN international. His remarks appear to be banned on USA CNN, which on this story is a propaganda outlet. Here is the PM: www.cnn.com/2025/05/27/T...

The Walter Isaacson “oh that

&. his responsibly for at least tens of thousands of deaths
of people once kept alive by USAID. Shooting off a rocket is apparently more important to Isaacson than open racism & destruction of human life.

“The government of Israel is currently waging a war without purpose….” [former PM]Olmert argued. “What we are doing in Gaza now is a war of extermination: indiscriminate, limitless, cruel and criminal killing of civilians.” An American who said this would be called an anti-Semite
& maybe arrested.

Just yesterday I posted that this was the the best news show on US TV. But they all seem to suffer from lemming disease, where they feel compelled to run after Tapper & Thompson & other unserious but popular journalists.
comment in response to

Joe Biden has for several
years been an easy target for Beltway media types who want to look “tough.” Meanwhile Musk and Trump have made cuts that will lead to the deaths of tens of thousands of people. But the real problem for Thompson is Biden’s cancer diagnosis.
comment in response to

Thompson’s career would also be hurt if his book were found to be inaccurate—as Jamie Harrison says it is. You have to invite Harrison on to respond to what is a no-holds-bars attack on officials like him. There is ZERO evidence that Harrison is lying.
comment in response to

Why are reporters who have a financial interest in pushing a narrative automatically given more credibility than someone like Jamie Harrison? Tapper-Thompson’s career would also be damaged if their reporting was found to be exaggerated.
comment in response to

This morning on the same network Jamie Harrison said that reporting on him in the book was UNTRUE. Why were there no questions about this? And there IS a double standard on reporting on Trump v reporting on Biden. Many of the things Trump says & does indicate major mental illness. …But: crickets…

I think the Weekend has just become the best show on TV. I have long admired the Catherine Rampell & Ayman Mouyeldin. But Rampell’s remarks on the DC murders brought tears to my eyes, & the commentary on the weaponization of the tragedy literally exists nowhere else on U.S. TV.
