He also folded on tariffs. 🤣

In case you forgot how much of the new Republican brand leans into homo-eroticism …

French Senator Claude Malhuret: "Washington has become Nero’s court, with an incendiary emperor, submissive courtiers and a jester high on ketamine... We were at war with a dictator, we are now at war with a dictator backed by a traitor."

@therickwilson.bsky.social reacts to Trump lying in front of the whole country for a record-breaking 90 straight minutes. WATCH: www.youtube.com/watch?v=V34l...

This is a wildly dangerous sign — the idea that there are only five SCOTUS votes for paying congressionally mandated invoices for work *already* done!? This should be as basic a test of Article I as you can get. And that does not bode well for decisions to come.

Starting this week, we’ll all pay more at the store because of the Trump tariffs, even while he’s finalizing a multi-trillion-dollar tax cut for the wealthy. All the bluster is meant to get us talking about literally anything else.

"Is there anyone in America who is comfortable with him and his gang of 20-year-olds using their own computer servers to poke through your tax returns, your health information and your bank accounts?" — Sen. Elissa Slotkin on Elon Musk and DOGE during the Democratic response to Trump's address

My latest: The president of the United States is trying to destroy Canada

Elon Musk is following the "playbook" of Rupert Murdoch in influencing American politics, Silicon Valley insider Kara Swisher tells the ABC's Q+A. And she's worried he could choke Australia's internet access.

the Dow, which is down nearly 800 points again today after a brutal day yesterday, has lost 2.8 percent of its value over the last 5 days with no relief in sight. tired of winning yet?

Canadian and Chinese officials say they were already helping reduce fentanyl smuggling. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said fentanyl crossing the northern border is "near zero." By @brianmannadk.bsky.social

Trudeau: "They're talking about working positively with Russia, appeasing Vladimir Putin- a lying, murderous, dictator. Make that make sense. Canadians are reasonable and we are polite. But we will not back down from a fight...Canada will be implementing 25% tariffs against $155b of American goods."

Trudeau: "I want to speak first directly to the American people. We don't want this. We want to work with you as a friend and ally. We don't want to see you hurt either. But your government has chosen to do this to you. As of this morning, markets are down and inflation is set to rise dramatically."

U.S. stock markets plummeted on Tuesday morning as a new global trade war began.

Trudeau: "Now I want to speak directly to one specific American. Donald...it's not in my habit to agree with the WSJ, but Donald, they point out that even though you're a very smart guy, this is a very dumb thing to do. We friends fighting is exactly what our opponents around the world want to see."

Trudeau: "What Trump said yesterday that there is nothing Canada or Mexico can do to avoid these tariffs underlines very clearly what I think a lot of us have suspected for a long time: that these tariffs are not specifically about fentanyl even though that's the legal justification he must use"

A sliver of good news: About $250 billion of the roughly $300 billion in frozen Russian assets are not in American banks. This money could be released to Ukraine by the European Union, Canada, Britain, Australia, Japan and Singapore—and circumvent Trump’s betrayal. www.nytimes.com/2025/03/04/b...

Just announce that Canada, as part of its effort to ramp up border enforcement, will not allow any exceptions to its existing prohibition against the admission of felons. Problem solved.

Let me say @fahrenthold.bsky.social is a national treasure. Also he can do math. www.nytimes.com/2025/03/03/u...

Exactly

Swalwell: "Frankly, as somebody who has been to Ukraine during this war, it's maddening to see that we as a country who always fought the axis of evil are now joining Russia."

Farmers: losing billions Trump: “have fun!”

We will always lead the charge to hold Trump and his henchmen accountable. If the press isn’t there to expose him, we’re happy to. That’s why we exist. We won't let him get away with turning this country into something it’s not. Support the mission: bit.ly/3WNK7wY

“We are witnessing a frontal assault on America’s institutions and if it succeeds, the US will be in serious trouble. When it comes to courts and the military, everyone needs to pay attention. If judges and soldiers are neutralized or captured, democracy dies.”

"Just a big mess": Musk's team claims credit for saving $53.7 million for "canceling" a federal contract that in fact was just for $144,000 and was actually completed 20 years ago. @Fahrenthold.bsky.social @sangerkatz.bsky.social @jsvine.bsky.social www.nytimes.com/2025/03/02/u...
