Yeah, starting to feel this too. I had him pegged as a bit of a phony, and was way wrong on that one.

Drew, this is one of the best things you've written. Well done. Thank you.

I love this for you. One of my go to moves.

Little league stuff. Unreal.

Just discovered this because of Brian Wilson's passing. What a song.

Is this related to Brian Wilson passing? Because I just discovered a few as a result that absolutely prove your thesis.

I don't think it's an either/or but more of a sliding scale. And right now the scale is starting to tip in the wrong direction.

He's at 50 WAR which should be the absolute bottom for consideration (unless you're Harold Baines I guess). This is a great question. He's already the starting CF for the all-time Cubs killers team.

His stats are much better than Murcer. Twice the amount of HR and almost double WAR. But I think I get where you're coming from

This was beautiful. Thanks.

I totally agree, and hope it comes to fruition. I join you in unity...except for the next 3 hours.

"Do you want them living next to you?"
YES.
"Do you want them going to school with your kids?"
YES.
Yes I fucking do. I don't theoretically like immigrants. I welcome them on my block, at my job, at my coffee shop, in my gym, in my school. Thousands, tomorrow. I will bake them a fucking cake.

Think he brings the same energy about the confederate flag?
comment in response to

Not to mention another flag that I assume a large portion of Oklahomans fly or have a bumper sticker of.

Been thinking this all day

Yeah, those movies hit when you're a certain age. We aren't that age anymore.
comment in response to

If we're talking these 2 movies I could see:
Princess Bride - not living up
My Cousin Vinny - exceeding the hype
And I love Princess Bride

For the non-coaching movies, I totally agree.
For the coaching ones, I avoid because I know they will be hackneyed cliche drivel. Stuff that never happens and speeches that are never given.

It's called disclosure dickhead

The more you tell me, the more I will intentionally not watch it. And this goes triple for anyone who recommends a sport/coach movie to me saying, "You were a coach, you'll love it." Nope, cue the Frank from Always Sunny shaking his head no.

Youths are crushing the summer so far here. Park in the subdivision is packed every day with a new game about 15 kids are playing. Scooters everywhere throughout.

Ugh on the routes. Need to stress the boundary more than that. Nothing open to the field side ever in 2x2 formations. We had instant run checks if we saw it. Just started designing routes for the backside anticipating it.

Saw Weezer open for Live. People starting leaving during the middle of Live's set. Weezer crushed.

There's one in our neighborhood that the subdivision basically adopted as a pet. People give it a nudge when it's stuck, pick it up off the curb. It's almost cute.

My team: Aston Villa
Why? My wife got me hooked on the World Cup 20 years ago. Since then I've gradually watched more and more Premier League. The past few years I set out to have "my team." Almost went Arsenal or Liverpool, but AV had a three-four game stretch this year that sold me on them.
