Hebimori, queen of facial expressions

It's possible we might have some local places in our area of the states that sell it and I just wasn't looking, especially some of the smaller butcher shops. I'll have to do some hunting.

To be clear, though, these are very different stories that just happen to explore some similar themes, particularly in the big sister/little sister dynamic. But I think any fan of IICRY will find a lot of things to love in LWMBW. I'm only five chapters in but I can't recommend it enough.

This might've been the best chapter so far. Shino finally getting the chance to let loose is so heartwarming to see, and I'm looking forward to more moments like this. She's also got such a great support group around her between Nozomi and her friends.

The yuri is calling once again.

These full-page chapter title illustrations are so good.

This was a great chapter. I'm so interested to see how Nozomi's journey is gonna play out and how she grows to become just as much a caretaker for herself as she is for Shino.

Nozomi's so damn cute.

Just replace "maturity" with "repressing her emotions" and you'll be on the money, Nozomi.

Nozomi being an elementary school teacher feels very fitting for her, especially since she also girlfails while doing that, too.

This will surely be a point of conflict as the story goes on, especially with both of their motivations being fueled by grief: Shino not wanting to be a burden while Nozomi wants to act as a provider to basically the only living connection she has left to her dead husband.

I love these little moments where the brother comes up in the natural flow of conversation and you see that bittersweet pause of getting caught up in his memory.

Love that my guy Shotaro is wrapped up in a gacha game with a gal girl sticker on the back of his phone. He a real one.

Goodnight/morning! I've been wanting to try cheek/tongue meat for a while. Not many opportunities to do so where I live, unfortunately.

It was soooo good! I'm extremely excited to see how this arc plays out.

Goodnight, and thank you! I've been trying to step up my alt text game. I think I've had some good ones lately.

Omg, I've had Inugami-san and Nekoyama-san in my CR watchlist for ages but had no idea it was a Kuzushiro adaptation. I need to bump this up the priority list.

It took two whole chapters to get me to start tearing up. That's honestly longer than I thought it would take. Kuzushiro is unbelievably good at hitting those emotional beats.

Watching these two get so intense while playing a dating sim is so stupidly adorable.

I'm getting SO MANY IICRY vibes while reading this! Even the sister-in-law's personality is so similar to Kaoru's. I have to keep reminding myself that they're not the same story.

The yuri was calling for Kuzushiro even 10 years ago.

Kuzushiro 🤝 stating the title of the manga in the opening chapter
comment in response to post
Considering Kuzushiro started this manga 10 years ago, it's interesting to see how different the art style is from what we're used to in Moon on a Rainy Night, but you can still see some of her immediately recognizable artistic trademarks, especially in the character designs and faces.

And we meet the wife. She strikes me as the type who's gonna be sincere to a fault while doing her best to fill as much of the void in Shino's life that she can. She's also probably gonna be cute as hell.

Looks like we've got a theme going here of Shino deflecting offers of emotional support with jokes and silly requests. Gonna be interesting to see how this defense mechanism develops as the story explores her grief.

Lol, here little thumbs up. She's so proud of this.
