Tosamaka has a very specific thing that happens when they into trance because they primarily channel their summoning through various Allagan nodes.
In this case, they become visibly cyborg-looking as they temporarily fuse with their nodes to supercharge their magical output.

Khali, on the other hand, has a very noticeable aura due to her volatile aether. She couldn't hide it even if she wanted to. You can always tell she's near due to the temperature raising due to the amount of heat she's giving off. If she gets worked up enough, she'll even begin emitting steam!
