Valuing diversity is not a crime Installing white men in every position of power is not a meritocracy

Because they'd never heard of the 2008 Recovery Rebate, the 2021 COVID stimulus program, 2023 state stimulus programs in AL, AZ, CA, CO, GA, MA, ME, MI, MN, MT, NM, NY, PA, SC, and VA, or the Alaska PFD?

Everyone is scrambling for exemptions - and those who are “connected” to MAGA or the oligarch class will get them. So we really aren’t all in it.

Now I’m going to have to watch that tape, just to hear the “Uwaaauwaargh!”

elon musk at cpac was so fucking weird you guys I know this reads like a parody but I literally just wrote down what happened www.theverge.com/elon-musk/61...

Ok. So 1000s of federal jobs. The FAA. Energy projects & major grants. Now the USPS. Basically all the interests of the whole state at risk. Let’s play “what will it finally take for AK’s congressional delegation to stop bowing to a fake king & represent us, their constituents, aka their employers?”

I heard the NEA is only considering proposals related to 1776 & the USA’s 250th birthday & I was feeling intensely patriotic, so I’m printing these really big posters inspired *directly* by the Founding Fathers The cut was carved from the masthead of a 19th century newspaper

We will have to help friends and neighbors 1) make sure they have the right ID, 2) make sure they are registered to vote, and 3) get to polling places and drop boxes. Since elections are run by the states, start asking your state *now* how they will run fair elections if the USPS is compromised.

I'm in!

There are no savings.

@lisamurkowski.bsky.social So many things that need your attention - please stand up for Alaska

@lisamurkowski.bsky.social please do better

Alaskans, our new Congressman needs some help understanding the Constitution. He's on recess now; call his office at (907) 921-6575.

We really do have enough to be concerned about that the “another plane crash” theme is a distraction.

From the U.S. Treasury Department website: “disbursements are made unless an amendment is made to the law.”

From the US Treasury Department website “The U.S. Constitution gives Congress the ability to create a federal budget – in other words, to determine how much money the government can spend over the course of the upcoming fiscal year.” fiscaldata.treasury.gov/americas-fin...

Cuts throughout Alaska, many in small towns where the impact to local economies will be severe. With millions of tourists scheduled to arrive starting in less than three months, our national parks will not be ready. (Paywall; sorry!) www.adn.com/politics/202...

Here's a note at Law Dork on tonight's developments: substack.com/@chrisgeidne...

That’s 17 families in Juneau who no longer have money for rent and food. And 1.7 million cruise ship passengers who won’t be able to visit one of Juneau’s attractions.

“local history” - you mean about Alaska’s indigenous people who have survived in the Arctic for 10,000 years?

I figure that’s their reemployment plan for federal workers. Insert one of Elon’s chips in their brains and reprogram them as housekeepers and fruit pickers.

Incompetence in Washington puts every American at risk, no matter how you voted. No one should be happy that the DOGE team - the same folks who randomly published classified U.S. security information online today - wants access to your bank account & Social Security numbers.

I live in Alaska. Ben's nifty site shows that 6% of our population is federal workers. If half of those 22,000 people lose their jobs, that's 10,000 houses on the market in a state with a very fragile economy. And 10,000 families that will most likely need to leave Alaska to survive.

ATTN FEDERAL WORKERS: I’ll say this again: download all your SF-50s, performance evals, and your eOPF. Now. Print hard copies. And make sure you file an informal grievance with your supervisor within 15 days of any adverse action. Here is a template: www.muellershewrote.com/p/informal-g...

What will oligarchs do when other countries don’t allow US citizens to visit? Whether it’s tariffs, or bird flu, or vax status , or threats of invasion. Are they content to jet around the US for their fab vacations?

Journalists- we need photos, videos, interviews with the farmers and other suppliers. That would make this horrific story more real to more Americans. www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025...

Heard an interview on @npr.org with David Super of Georgetown law. Can’t find transcript yet but here’s a good story where he’s quoted. www.npr.org/2025/02/08/g...

Please amplify, share, repost. This USAID ad is running to counter Musk’s Super Bowl BS ads re USAID #Voices4Victory youtu.be/PqUESHfuO_8

When will the rest of the tech billionaires wake up and realize that Elon Musk is not going to share the spoils with them? He’s got access to their federal contracts, competitive information, regulators and customers. Front row seats at the inauguration may be the only benefit they ever get.

Just saw a farmer say, "you don't have to admit you were wrong, you have to admit you were lied to, " and idk that seems like a good framing to call people in

Every. Single. Word. Of. This. I couldn't be prouder of my fellow Floridian @maxwellfrost.bsky.social and the new generation of Dems fighting fire with fire. More of this, please!

Holy shit this cartoon.

Judge PAUSES the buyout offer. Gifted for all feds and their families who need info: wapo.st/42PvIHv

FBI hearing has hit a snag. DOJ is unable to say whether anyone in the department has *already* disseminated to outsiders the info about FBI agents who worked on Jan. 6 case. DOJ lawyer says he doesn't "have reason to believe" that has happened but can't assure it.
