Every decision now appears to oppose what's needed to maintain a habitable world.
What the hell happened to this party

Because chatgpt had stolen Spacetime Physics, and *literally* every physics stack exchange and reddit post ever made talking about it, chatgpt had a huge pool of dogshit to rearrange into an answer-shaped object for him.

If your politics requires you to redefine science and pretend you know better despite zero scientific competence, then your politics is a fantasy ignorance cult.
Being too afraid to learn from others is the opposite of freedom.

A lamp post doesn't do anything that a tree does, don't be daft 🦆
There's no consistent botanical definition of a tree, that's a false claim. It's a wildly polyphyletic category of convenience. There's nothing wrong with using a dicot-only definition if that's what you prefer

"Botanically true tree" isn't a thing. There are tall, woody species scattered over a comically broad range of plant taxa. If it walks like a tree and quacks like a tree, it's a tree

You don't think it's healthy to see AI as inhuman and creepy?

Absolutely @wikipedia.org Stay well clear. It's fake, it's creepy, it's inhuman, nobody wants it. Keep Wikipedia human.

Nobody is telling you how to feel.
I'd encourage you to think, though, if you care to.
When the possibilities are that you may have misunderstood what an expert is saying or that the expert needs to understand your opinions, what is it that makes you assume it should be the latter

What is it that makes someone with no expertise in a subject accuse a world expert in that subject of being in denial about that subject? It's so bizarre, and so silly

It shows how absurd hot takes on 'hope' are.
Hope can imply inaction. Being satisfied with ineffective gestures, seeing difficult work as unnecessary.
'Give up hope' also implies inaction. Conflating action with gestures, everything becomes pointless.
It completely misses the point of the crisis.

If you need to miss the point, you'll keep on missing the point.
