Winota already runs Grand Abolisher, even ignoring the mobilize it's a great card to shut off interaction. The decision point is if you want 2 grand abolishers in your deck.

They made a video about this a while ago. If you made a separate ban list for a "cEDH" format, people would still try to find ways to break "casual" commander. The format is intrinsically tied to commander as a whole.

What was "shenanigans" about it to you? I feel like your argument could be made the same for Marisha who really was looking forward to having her moment with the mask as well and having to fight braius for it. But as usual they trust each other and no one was actually upset above table.
