I've been using Sam's soulslike controller layout for almost 3 years on tempest and berserker. Does most things I need it to. Best of luck if you give it a try!

If you end up trying the templates you can also edit them to your liking to remap certain functions (or just use the keyboard for certain things).

These are designed to work with the Steam Deck's layout, which includes touch pads, capacitive control sticks, and the extra back buttons. If you want to try with a standard controller you'll likely find that some features (like radial menu) won't work. Moving and using skills might, though.

That's a very good question. The layouts are designed for Steam Deck, but if you end up trying them out and encounter any issues on the Ally please post feedback on the discussion page.
