The top echelon of QB prospects have been particular with when and where they throw in the draft process. They know the weight of their position insulates their projected draft selection more than their choice could ever scare teams off. I don’t blame any round 1 projection who takes this route.

If your Bears offseason plan includes them signing the top Free Agent C and G, and drafting the top OL at pick 10, I congratulate you in advance on waking up extremely well rested. There are 31 other NFL teams.

If Mike Vrabel has a choice between Tet McMillan and Will Campbell, I’d bet my blue-collar lunch pail he’s taking the trenchman

Interesting note on Dennis Allen: The Saints rank in rush yards allowed in 2018: 2nd 2019: 4th 2020: 4th 2021: 4th least Promoted to HC 2022: 24th 2023: 22nd 2024: 31st (Dennis called the defense as HC)

Demarcus Walker will be released, and Dennis Allen might want to bring in some of “his guys.” Saints pending FA EDGE Payton Turner is 26 years old and played 28.4% of snaps last year, with 2 sacks and 2 forced fumbles. A good bet for a depth free agent.

I’m surprised - I was not sure if $5.5 mil savings was enough incentive to cut a starting EDGE given the other holes to fill. Montez Sweat, 4th round rookie Austin Booker, and long-time depth Dom Rob remain. We’ll see the big plans for the $80 mil in cap come March 12th.

Sam Darnold tag unlikely ✅ I wonder how realistic an extension is - have they given up on JJ McCarthy? Other teams can throw more money at Darnold if they want him as a starter.

Ian Cunningham did not land the GM gig in Jacksonville. No comp picks for the Bears, but perhaps the org benefits more from his services.

Nothing like a reporter argue back and forth with Daniel Jeremiah about Jameis Winston vs Kirk Cousins for the 2025 Browns On DJ’s pre-combine prospect call

The most rational release candidate for the Bears. Just $1 mil dead cap for Waldron’s 2024 TE signing. Everett is a solid NFL TE when used correctly, but the contract and use did not mirror that in Chicago. Look for Ben Johnson for find a TE that can block socks off.

Not a Cowboys fan. Not any more of a Zack Martin fan than any other football schmuck. But I LOVE when athletes are able to play an entire legendary career out with one team. They come to embody those organizations for years beyond their playing careers.

Cowboys’ Zach Martin is retiring. One of the best to ever do it! This stat can’t be real…He finished w/ more All-Pro’s *9* than holding penalties *7* Legend

Ben Johnson's 2025 Bears coaching staff

TJ Edwards has found himself on the wrong side of history with this one 😂

I have also talked with Myles Garrett about what could be if he played for my local high school team. We both agree it would be a sight to behold, a notch below Jesus’ ascension.

This draft cycle, I find myself drawn to guys that play with fire on their sleeve. Two of my favorites in that regard are Texas TE Gunnar Helm - man points out defenders after he trucks them Oklahoma WR Deion Burks - lets the stadium know after every play he makes.

Very meaningful if true - the Bucs will have the most knowledge on Godwin’s injury. If they are willing to sign 28 year Godwin while they still have Mike Evans and a budding McMillan, his recovery must be going quite well. Good for both parties!
