The author of this article says that while AI /today/ can simplify the information it cannot help you get a deeper understanding of the work that someone who actually read it may come away with. But that gap between AI readers and real readers will become less obvious over time as AI improves.

It’s kind of ironic that this article about AI’s approach to understanding literature is being misrepresented by a bunch of people who didn’t read it. Even this snippet being passed around doesn’t offer an opinion. It simply states a fact: that AI can simplify the raw text of a work of literature.

I bounced off the free roam hard, but my daughter loves it. She prefers it over the actual racing. Her only complaint is you can only free roam solo.

They each give a unique sticker so you could look up what stickers you are missing to figure out what open world stuff you missed

He couldn’t see Harvard with a telescope.

Likely there was supposed to be a sticker with a rough date or the year on it that goes over the “now” that would be removed once the game actually released. Probably a “2025” sticker.

Fangamer makes good stuff. Definitely getting these pins

Won’t matter unless physical buyers transition to digital. If physical buyers dig their heels in and refuse to buy key cards or digital then there’s a chance things will change

I’m primarily physical so it sucks to see it die this way. Games go on sale more often and for deeper discount when there are physical copies to clear from shelves. I bought way more Switch games than I would have otherwise because physical was an option.

He wouldn’t even notice. He’s half blind. The boos are the way to go.

Where is this map from? I want to be able to link it to people

Since they won’t, just emulate it (if you have a PC). There’s a little tweaking you need to do to avoid crashing during a couple of specific cutscenes but otherwise it runs great. Seems like they don’t want our money so go wild.

Wow. A classic “woosh”

This is unfortunately not true. I have a friend in the Guard who has to deal with these ICE goons all the time and he tells me most of them are morally bankrupt and absolutely love the shit they get to do these days. These are the guys that regular police departments turned down.

Even Trump didn’t say anything nasty about his diagnosis (yet). Imagine being worse than Trump

You’re not totally wrong. A lot of illusions are done exactly as you describe. Whoever put this one together was being a little stinker with those arrows is all I’m saying. Tricky stuff!!
comment in response to post
Yup. If you cover up the arrows the boxes will still appear to “move” in the directions those arrows would be pointing if you could see them. The pulsing lights *do* change. The illusion is created by how the white relates to what’s left of the black shadow and where. It’s very well put together.
comment in response to post
You can cover up the arrows and you will still see the boxes appear to move in the direction indicated by the hidden arrows. The illusion is created by the white parts relative to the black outline/shadow which *does* change.

And if people keep saying “lol isn’t that funny they don’t understand they can’t do that” they’re going to miss the fact that *they are doing it* actually
comment in response to post
They were slow to pick up on it, but now all of them are doing the thing Trump does where you just get something wrong on purpose a bunch of times until it just sort of becomes right in the eyes of their voters over time.

Genki makes great stuff. I’m sorry to hear this.

The requirement to vote wouldn’t work in the states unless republicans would agree on mail in ballots. One of the arguments against requiring an ID to vote here is that there are some people who lack the transportation to go get one. If they can’t travel to get an ID they’d never travel to vote.

They already are and have been for a long time, which was one of the things that was used against Apple in this lawsuit. Apple really only picked a fight with Epic over this.

I didn’t say anything about cat memes, nor did I say you upset me, but your repeated insistence on mentioning cat memes and claim that people are outraged over you is what’s giving me bot vibes lol.

Great but why not today? Why not the day he was deported? Why wait two more days? He cannot possibly think Trump’s going to rectify this. He’s got a long list of court mandates he’s already been ignoring for weeks.

Just trying to keep people from being ripped off. If slapping “4K” onto something you can do yourself at home with handbreak and makemkv makes you think these movies are worth that much money then the studios have already won I guess. There’s no such thing as an educated consumer anymore.
comment in response to post
No it’s not, really. It doesn’t include *any* of the special features from the dvd releases. You’re paying $15 a piece for 20+ year old movies with bare bones upscaling to 4K. I wouldn’t pay $10 per movie for this insulting version of these movies. You’re better off getting the old DVDs on eBay.
comment in response to post
Eh. They probably will. Trump is the only one who wants these tariffs so they’ll be gone the second he’s out of office. In the meantime Nintendo is probably greasing whatever palms they need to get an exception. I’m not too concerned either way about Nintendo. There are more important things!
