Now I remember why I hated when Bledsoe lived across the street from me....having weather folks in the area is like a forcefield. 😂😂😂

That pile doesn't seem nearly big enough to provide the necessary emotional support. You'll have to buy more.

From the 15th minute to the 25th, supporters held up flags reading “We are not all here” in English and Spanish. NSC security told them to take them down. They were ignored and remained up.
As one person said to me “this isn’t political, this is our community.”

The point is that a stupid blue check mark doesn't solve any of the problems you claim it does any more than domain verification does. If I hop on XYZ social media platform and a repost of something from "Taylor Swift" comes onto my feed, it's still on me to verify what I'm seeing.

Right, but we should be teaching and leading by example how to be literate in social media. It shouldn't be about what looks right or "ok," but instead we should be thinking and verifying it. I might not tell the difference between apple and appIe by sight, but I can verify the right one easily.

You act like setting up a website is some act of god. I assure you, some really stupid people have set up websites without a problem.

Those same fake accounts still exist and still accumulate followers -- even with verification.

First, an entire generation of people learned HTML so they could personalize their myspace page. I think we can handle domain verification.
Second, brands should want to self-verify to control verification rather than rely on someone else's decision that they're worthy enough to get, or keep, it.

We should verify sources ourselves. I've said it before and will again: anyone notable enough to warrant verification is notable enough to have their own public-facing domain. Domain verification makes it much easier to verify ourselves than relying on a ✔️ that may not be verifiable at all. 4/4

Plus, if the goal is really to prevent impersonators, then the ✔️ fails miserably. Every platform with them still has countless "hey guys, this other account claiming to be me really isn't" posts all the time. The ✔️ substitutes "easy" for what should be good social media literacy. 3/4

But even then, are there distinctions? Do National media/politicians count? What about local media/politicians? Arguably, many people care more about/interact more with their local media and politicians than national ones. So what/who really is notable? 2/4

Depends on how much furniture. But I’d do bed and nightstand along windows. Dresser on the left wall. And use the corner for a chair/reading nook.
