Monolith Soft shared the sculpture that was used as the concept for the very first Xenoblade Chronicles game. If the Nintendo Museum ever does a big Monolith Soft exhibit, this needs to be the centerpiece!

My favorite part of Mario Kart World is the soundtrack. Nintendo EPD Sound Group (Atsuko Asahi, Maasa Miyoshi, Takuhiro Honda, Yutaro Takakuwa) + Mario Kart Band cooked up a special soundtrack. I need a Jukebox Mode ASAP.

Hideki Konno received the final "Special Thanks" in the Mario Kart World credits. As the Director of the original Mario Kart on SNES, he deserves it. Many fundamental ingredients of Mario Kart were created by him and the original team. 2026 will mark his 40th year at Nintendo.

Monolith Soft helped make Mario Kart World but they are not mentioned in the credits by name. Good thing Monolith Soft still has a separate/independent website otherwise we'd never know!

Atsuko Asahi is the music lead on Mario Kart World but the music performances are credited to the Mario Kart Band. They worked on Mario Kart 8 too and some worked on other Nintendo games. They aren't Nintendo Employees. They're just really good at making Nintendo music.

Literally everyone predicted the next Mario Kart was going to go the "Super Smash Bros. Kart" angle but that didn't materialize. Mario Kart World doesn't have a single guest character. Sega is doing that with Sonic Racing CrossWorlds.
