ironically those people dont know much about henna lol. I remember i had henna over my arm and hands for eid ( and because im more fair skin ) people straight up told me i was culturally appropriating 😠girl? its insane to me how people are so quick to be the hand of judgement with 0 idea of anythin

At least from what my Jido had talked about in Haifa, (bare in mind i was pretty little) he mentioned many traditions being wiped away in the 1940s because of the colonization, henna is an odd topic because it was huge in all parts of the region of the world but now its sorta gate kept which is odd!

Sure! Although im Falastini and have tattoos doesn't necessarily mean we have to be religious by any means. Some folks know its forbidden, some don't - but we are a culture with many religious ties and i think being open in times like these help us :)
