Staff members at the religious org where I work rotate being responsible for devotions and treats throughout the year. So, I just got a calendar invite to bring “Devos and Treats” on Nov. 12. As a Gen Xer, I feel it my duty to work Devo into our devotions somehow for that day. #Devo #devotions #GenX

Don’t let yourself become resigned. ( gift article) www.nytimes.com/2025/05/28/o...

That one colleague who greets me as I walk in the door by asking if I’ve done Task X (that I’ve never heard of) yet. #workfrenemy

The President is a convicted felon bent on destroying democracy but I have wild lupines in my garden, so I will persist a little longer. Hopefully the birds and bugs will too. #nativeplants #resistance

This is indeed The Scroll of Truth.

My country is sliding into fascism, but at least my cat Hermes is adorable. He has found his new happy place. #catsky

I got myself this amusing yet profound poster for my office. I really wouldn’t mind being assigned a huge green cat. It’s the chronic nausea that bums me out. #posterwisdom

Why is The NY Times obsessed with Joe Biden’s age and fitness for office? It seems to me that there’s a more immediate concern with the current occupant of the White House right now.

I just really need everybody to understand that everything that’s happening in and to the global economy now (and all the businesses and people in it) is the entirely predictable result of the intentional decisions of one guy who doesn’t understand how the global economy works.

It’s 62 F in my city and the building my workplace is in has turned on the AC. Wore 2 sweaters and fingerless gloves all morning and now I’m eating lunch in my car which has been sitting in the sun for 3 hours, just to warm up. Ridiculous.

Whether it's Hillary Clinton sharing risotto tips on a private server or Pete Hegseth using the nuclear codes as his password on Pornhub, both parties have ignored our nation's security.

This #EarthDay2025 seems a good moment to share some Gerard Manley Hopkins: “What would the world be, once bereft Of wet and of wildness? Let them be left, O let them be left, wildness and wet; Long live the weeds and the wilderness yet”

I didn’t realize part of my new job would be helping elderly aunts who live in AZ find a Lutheran church for their disabled nephew who lives in the Mpls suburbs to attend on Easter Sunday.

This is what I want to see from our leaders.

Yesterday was a great day to go to my state legislator’s town hall and also get to hear from my Congresswoman, Betty McCollum, who is a badass in her unassuming way. Much needed encouragement!

Saw this sign at the vet when I picked up food for my cat. Damn, do I need humor today.

Welcome to my yard, baby yarrow!
