Whether it's Hillary Clinton sharing risotto tips on a private server or Pete Hegseth using the nuclear codes as his password on Pornhub, both parties have ignored our nation's security.

May Day, May Day General Strike-5/1/25!
Shut it all down, unions wobble, airlines, manufacturing, retail, trucking, transportation, shipping! tRump, vAnts, johnson must resign.
That's bullshit and a gross false equivalency. Having a private email server that no one even knows you have does not begin to compare to the gross negligence of Hegseth. Colin Powell had a private email server, no one complained then. HRC's server was not hacked, there was no security breach!
This is a bunch of bullshit. Donβt do this both sidesism thing. There is only one side who wants to turn America into a theocratic oligarchy. Wake up before itβs too late.
This is not a both sides problem, because Dem's call out their own when it comes to exposing security issues, the GOP just goes along with their security breakers and make excuses for this and that, or lie like a rug to cover for the bad actors. So both sides aren't the same
And they never were. One side is a compromised puppet for corporations and the other side is a fully criminal organisation that makes the Mafia jealous.
I know this is sarcasm/satire, but most of the time I donβt understand the point of this account. The New York Times itself is doing your job well enough. Youβre writing stuff that either idiot MAGAs will take seriously as confirmation or that ex-Twitter-traumatized people will be irritated by. Why?
And, only one believed strongly enough in the importance of the aesthetic of American masculinity to spend tax-payer dollars on a make-up studio in the Pentagon.
Yeah well, Risotto alΓ‘ Benghazi just isn't the same without friends to share it with, and Pete Hegseth doesn't have any, so then what's the use signaling the existence of the dish?
Don't gloss over Risottogate. Sharing national culinary secrets is no laughing matter.
On the other hand only one small Signal group has the nuclear codes, so it's a fantastic password. He can beat it with confidence knowing his kinks will stay a state secret!
The shame isn't that people miss the sarcasm. The shame is that "both sides" is so hard wired into the media this seems like something NYT would print.
Every person who handles classified information should have Earned (not bestowed) the appropriate security clearance BEFORE taking the position/running as a candidate.
It has been reported that her risotto recipe had coded messages to her team about her plans to take over Italian restaurants, with trattorias being the first in line.
It does feel like there's a chunk of people who want to fight when there is no fight to be had. There were a couple of times this past week where people I agreed with wanted to argue anyway. I think some of them are bots though, because the behavior was bizarre.
I agree. Much more serious and often borders on antagonistic. I mean itβs a walk in the park compared to Twitter but I would like fun conversations too please. π€
I've experienced that antagonistic vibe from both Leftists and "establishment" Dems, and it's ridiculous, because both sides and me pretty much agree about 95% of everything, so the fighting is senseless.
Only one party selected a drunk TV hack to head this nation's defense agency. Only one party condones the increasing stupidity of its cabinet members in handling their business. The bothsideism is quite useless in the current reality. Clinton didn't lose the trust of all the other world gov'ts.
100%. My goodness there are some people on this thread who you wouldnβt want to have a beer with. A sense of humour is important even in times like these. If you canβt spot the difference between satire and reality then I donβt think we can be friends.
I wiz the only surviving member of my recon platoon as we were ambushed by Afghan warlords who killed all my buddies with a dangerously delicious mushroom risotto, you sonofabitch.
@SecDef totally doubling down of setting us up front espionage. Why Pentagon staff ratted his insecure phone line and the Signal app on his govt PC. WaPO and NYT HRC. No classified anything @SecDef every chat.

hello Kendall I was making a joke because thatβs the sort of thing that these weird centrist types might say. Sorry I wasnβt more clear about that!
I try to remember to use the /s when I'm making a joke people might not get. Sometimes it's hard when you can't see body language or hear tone of voice.
You forgot about Poe's Law. There really is nothing in this that wouldn't make it something an idiot might plausibly write in "good" faith or an R might write in bad faith.
Wrong... what Hillary did in your equation isn't wrong. What Hegseth did is Treason if send to unauthorized parties or in unsecured, unauthorized method.
Elected officials acquire a privilege complex in which they are above the law, it doesn't apply to them... and then they do foolish things that erase all their credibilty

Not that it would help, as illustrated in the educational video provided.
Every Democrat knows she won the popular vote
Meanwhile, I'm off to the market to haggle for a fake beard and a small packet of gravel. There's a crowd approaching.

Parody. I'm a free born man of the USA
Somehow I don't think the Houthis would eat it.

Can't believe I had to point this out.
The account is - literally - named "Pitchbot". Of course it's satire.
Risotto tips on a Private server is NOT THE SAME as nuclear codes, you tool.

Itβs hard to tell these days when the news sounds like The Onion.

Now I do. Mark Sheppard as Crowley in the Supernatural.
Just amazing that things are so bizarre that we can no longer be sure. Strange, strange times!
"National security "
So many armchair pundits.
Maybe an old ass drunken frat boy with no experience shouldnβt be in charge of the worldβs biggest military.
Without context, tonal expression, body language, etc., sarcasm in not readily apparent to me.
spineless Democrats.
