I don’t have any numbers but I feel like the percentage of his offense that IS catch and shoot is like 10% and it should be like 25%

Im just shocked by everything at this deadline honestly - No need to go into Raps and Ingram - and I get that Lakers had to have a big, but Pelinka talked Mavs into worrying about Lukas health but not Hornets on Mark Williams, surely you can throw some protections on that 1st?

I dont think hes a bad coach, but I dont think he is terrific at allowing young players to organically grow - still have concerns in that area with Mathurin and Jarace, but clearly he and his staff can develop and improve talent.

I was one of those who wanted him gone - and I said at the time that I felt like effort and defense were the issues that had been unaddressed and continue to always be our issue. I think since that time effort and defense have been the difference. fwiw I wanted him gone both previous years as well.

Not saying he’s JB - he’s nowhere close, but he’s still only 22 (turns 23 in June) and progress isn’t linear, he has taken significant steps this year in Defense and catch and shoot.

Yeah, I felt like Duncan was in general lower on all Pacers than I expected. I know Mathurin has been up and down his whole career but he has shown flashes of incredible and stick out this year by fitting in - and showing he can fit in one of the top 5 man lineups in the NBA.

I dont think they are exactly the same, but I dont think the scenery is vastly different - Sabonis is surely a better facilitator and high post passer, but he is a worse shooter - seems like the spacing and defense will still be a problem. Im just saying that to me it looks like retreading the tire.

Yeah I look forward to them reuniting him with DeRozan since that worked so well last time. Maybe it'll look different, Saboner = Vooch ? Keegan = P.Williams ? Monk = Coby ? idk seeming kinda similar.

Listen, if you were a Lakers fan you’d understand that the most important thing is overvaluing mediocre Lakers players like Knecht, Reeves, Vando, Rui and selling them as doing a favor taking guys like Turner, Mathurin and Nembhard for some dogshit firsts or even seconds.

I’m sure they were also just torn to pieces when having to give up AD for Luka as well. After acquiring Luka Knecht’s importance decreases dramatically. Have you thought at all about Turner’s importance and value to the Pacers or just expiring contract?
Who is going to pay him 30M/y this offseason?

Its bad - certainly theres always the "7pm start" which really means 7:10, you get used to that, but yeah more and more 7:10 has become 7:15, 7:20 or even later.
If someone tuned in to watch The Bachelor or any other braindead show at 7:00 and it didnt actually start till 7:30 theyd be pissed.

Its quite ignorant of the real problems. Make the games easier to find AND watch, and stop trying to put as many commercials and endorsements on the product as possible. START THE GAMES ON TIME. 7:10 tip, then tip at 7:10.
