I donā€™t even think I own 40 books.

Users will be users tho šŸ¤·

I thought email/pass would be worse if users arenā€™t technical. Repeated passwords across sites, password=password etc

Does this solve the sharing account situation?

Is this an Alphablocks reference?

Also, why the Magic Mouse? I doing think Iā€™ve ever seen a keyboard enthusiast with one of those on the desk.

The knob donā€™t _quite_ match. Looks fantastic though!

Really? But the Internet connected laptop and phone is still right there, just like at home.

Just use fox or six. The vast majority of X in words have this sound. The X sound in xylophone etc (ie at start of words) is the minority, hence the difficulty with X in childrenā€™s letter books. Seeing words used which arenā€™t even the phonetic sound of the letter is worse. eg I in ice cream.

My guess? Bots, bots everywhere!

Is it that much easier? Iā€™m constantly logged into Google so itā€™s a 2 click process.

You know what? Thatā€™s a great idea! Is there an easy way to do this with ts? Or is it easy to roll my own implementation?

Mad!

Is it possible to have ā€œin app purchasesā€ with this? ie a user purchases something via Apple IAP and then the php app can see it?
comment in response to post
IAP?

Kind of. authUser() should never abort if used in an authā€™d route so the return value will be a User and not User|null like on the standard auth() helper. I wonā€™t have to always check for null user or add /** @var User */ everywhere now.

By Steve Krug. Old (published in 2000!) but a classic.

Have you read ā€œDonā€™t Make Me Thinkā€?

Yeah Rector is amazing. So many :void return types I didn't have to type myself lol

Would you happen to know how to get around this? I think there is a "no named arguments" thing going on but since there is no message I can't use regex to ignore it. Also, why are named arguments a bad thing? Coming from python/TS it seems really useful.

Yeah, Iā€™ve worked through a bunch like this. I started wondering if Iā€™m approaching it wrong since none of them seem to do it differently.

Is there a special way to make these or do I simply stick a picture on the back of a word?

I watched Talk to Me while putting my 8mo to sleep and my wife wasnā€™t too happy lol But how else am I supposed to teach her not to summon the dead?

I heard ā€œsssseeeeeeeddā€ behind me today and turned around to my daughter sounding out random words on boxes, unprompted! All the work paying off!

Now itā€™s Monday. Might be another double shot coffee day.

Ohhh Rector is great but how much can I trust it? And how do you get around using Auth::user() and phpstan thinking it can be null, even if the route is protected by middleware? It feels icky having to add @var types above all instances.
comment in response to post
How important do you think having associated pictures is? I found my daughter ā€œreading the picturesā€ in a lot of the early reading books, which seemed like a detriment to learning.

Itā€™s a react spa. I was tempted to finally try Svelte, but I figured itā€™d be faster to stick with what I know so I can finish quickly. My daughter starts school soon!

Omg how havenā€™t I seen this before?? I thought I spent too much time on the internet but I guess notā€¦

Weā€™ll see. If people didnā€™t leave before I donā€™t think they would leave now.

You can put dye in the coolant??? Omg no I donā€™t have the time Looks great btw

Can it play random songs? I donā€™t mean from a recommendation algorithm. I want proper, basic random from the 100 million songs they have.

Just went looking and I think youā€™re right!

To me thatā€™s terminal stuff rather than Linux exclusive stuff.
