Paypal UK's support number now has an AI to fight past. When trying to solve my issues, it gave the pound value of my account in dollars, and then asked if my account was "checking or savings." Yeah, no, those aren't things here. What a wonderful future we're building for ourselves.

The honest reason I don't have microtransactions/season pass/ads/100 DLCs/etc in Balatro isn't just about the ethics of those practices but because when I play other games that have those things it makes me want to put my computer in the dishwasher and set it to pots & pans

I love that Mike Flanagan is working his way through Stephen King's catalogue, but so disappointed that he's putting off projects for a Carrie series. Brian De Palma's film is about as close to perfect as a movie can be. It can only be less. Normally it's a "whatever", the '76 movie still exists...
