Shout out to the lady marching up and down the main corner in Hereford with a sign saying "trump will destroy the USPS"!

Browsing through an 1892 Boston Type Foundry specimen book that I am rebinding for a friend. Now that the pages are held together, I can take a look at all the cool typefaces. I love the slanted one, but it would be so impractical to use. #letterpress

Today's tiny discovery. Either there's a very lucky but tail-less bunny or a fox with a full belly.

Get your calls in to your reps, don't let the USPS get fucked. I need it, you need it, the USA needs it to remain independent. Fuck.

I have a wealth of eggs from my backyard chickens but also the immense terror of my whole little flock getting the flu. Can I get them vaccines?

We will not be stopping the Wild to Mild Flu vaccine media campaign. Thanks to @waybackmachine.bsky.social here are archived graphics. Share widely! Make them your screensavers, backgrounds, and profile pics! Print on T-shirts! #resist #vaccinessavelives #fedstrong web.archive.org/web/20241224...

Trying to pack up my office in prep for showing the house/moving and I am not having a good time. I need all my shit accessible at all times

So I'm heading to Portland OR later this summer and had the thought, what if I could take a train from Baltimore? Well, it would take anywhere from 72 to 105 hours, and the train only arrives in Portland on a Saturday. So I would have to arrive an entire week early to make my conference. #amtrak

Proofing some new-to-me type. This was made sometime between 1872 and 1890 by Vanderburgh and Wells, it is practically brand new and a lot of the sorts have never been inked up. I'm only the next custodian of this amazing artifact. #letterpress #woodtype

Reprinting all the red things today, business cards, thank you notes and mushroom type stickers #letterpress

Nerd level intensifies.

Are you concerned about AI? We had a robust culture built around an older technology, printing. It had 500 years of editorial traditions which kept it stable. We need to maintain a BACKUP of that system, because this new one is scary. That's why I co-founded printingstewards.org/index.shtml

This site has been lacking hog lately. Hey @themerl.bsky.social how's this for a fine swine?

I just mis-read my snacks as Moo Deng. I guess that's how fried my brain is from the last.. 24(?) days?
