This article really nails it. As somebody who flew across the country, from California to North Carolina, to attend this convention, it was 100% worth it the entire trip. It was mostly everything I wanted in a less crowded package, and I got to meet so many people. What a phenomenal experience.

So yeah...GQX wrapped up better than I thought, but I feel like Machu and Nyaan kinda got lost as characters in the chaos of it all. Far from the worst Gundam by a long shot, but the narrative messiness of its second half brought down a lot of its potential.
