I feel like that top piece would be far less awkward if it was designed more as an off-shoulder piece.

It would explain why the brocade just...stops a few inches from the hem.

Ballgown gloves could work.

That dress doesn't hang, period. It's like the whole thing is starched collar-stiff.

A well-coordinated shawl could go a long way towards hiding those without distracting from the dress. If anything, it would make her look less mannequin-y in it.

She looks like she can barely breathe, much less move.

OOF. Where do I begin...
1. There are corset tops made for movement and breathing. That ain't one of them.
2. Yes, she does look like Nana's lampshade with such a stiff design.
3. Someone with a complexion that leathery with arms like an old woman should not go sleeveless.

That is some truly orange cat brain behavior.

And Char's thinking "man, I am so glad I was already planning to kill you if you're gonna say shit like that."

Maybe if they hadn't wasted all that time on that shitty CG Netflix show and that fucking Seed movie (that they STILL had to remaster after its theatrical run!), it could have come out sooner.

I'm just happy to see it exists after all those delays.

At least we didn't have to learn about Amuro's specific porn preferences.

I miss the days when every day on social media brought a new wave of Lio fan art, all of it just fucking amazing.

We made it 2 out of 3 rounds before tapping out. We are thoroughly stuffed with meat, seafood, and kimchi pancake.

And it was part of an intiative at ATX that produced nothing but duds: Demon Lord Dante, Beast Fighter the Apocalypse, Gun Frontier, just to name a few.

The 'beat the baby out of you' clip is one thing, but there are SO MANY moments that are just as janky and random throughout the show.
Hell, not even Media Blasters could give much of a shit about it. There are typos in the subs and credits! They leave out half of the episode title cards!

Oh you are in for some glorious nonsense.

Nor would he ever be the subject of an AMV that's remembered more these days than the source material itself.
(though it should be. That original El Hazard OVA is good fun, and I'm sad it never got to streaming before Nozomi got shut down by CR)

One thing Jinnai has that Elon never will: a memorable, hilarious cackle.

I spoke with the neighbors and let them know where she is. Apparently she slipped out. She still should be chipped, though, even if she's meant to be an indoor cat (precisely because of situations like this!)

I informed them via him where she could be found, so hopefully that's the end of it.
I will say that I do judge them a little for (1) letting her out without a collar or a chip (2) doing so on such a hot and humid day.

UPDATE: Turns out she belongs to a neighbor down the street, who reached out to my husband via NextDoor and heard the story from the weirdo homeschool kids who live across from us. Her name is Dora. Apparently the kids made it sound like I snatched her up like a thief in the night, which 🙄.

She was a champ, though. While she complained a little during the drive, she handled it better than either Alphonse or Edward.
I suspect that once she's been properly fed, hydrated, and medicated she's gonna make somebody a wonderful pet.

I figured she was a stray (since she had no collar), but even if she wasn't she clearly needed some medical intervention.
The nearest shelter confirmed she had no chip, but because she was found in-town I had to take her to the city animal control, which was another 15 min drive away.

I gave her some food (dry food + a whole tube of squeezy meat), and while I offered water she didn't lap at it. Combined with the panting, I was concerned enough that I scooped her up into one of our spare carriers and drove her to the nearest shelter.

She was skinny, her eyes were somewhat goopy, but the big thing is that she was clearly overheated. Today has been both very warm and humid, and she was visibly panting while doing her best to flop in the shade of a nearby tree.

This little calico girl showed up in my driveway earlier today, announcing herself as loudly as she could with her little voice. She was very friendly, open to pets and even being picked up, but she clearly was not well.

There are others, but I feel like a lot of it is that the crew working on it set expectations that the show could have never hoped to fully achieve.

You and quite a few other Gundam fans, quite understandably.

Yes. There were a fair few folks really gunning for Machu and Nyaan to be as openly gay as Suletta and Miorine were, long after the point the show made it clear that wasn't the direction it was going in.

It's one thing for an actor to be willing to keep going, but at some point they will not be able to, and as we've seen from experience it's a lot easier when they make a plan to hand off a role ahead of time versus having to recast due to a sudden death/illness/career-ending scandal.
comment in response to
post
I just feel like once an actor reaches the point where they can't keep the age out of their voice, that's the point they need to retire from whatever classic role they're associated with. Ikeda has reached that point, which is why I was OK with Char getting recast.

This is a problem with other anime franchises as well. Look at how long Lupin held on to the original voice actors for the main cast, or how Masako Nozawa is still screaming her lungs out as Goku in her 90s.
