The National Park Service has removed "T" and all mention of transgender people from the Stonewall National Monument. Trans women were some of the most influential activists behind the Stonewall movement and what followed. 3 articles of clothing laws were why raids happened. Erasure.

So tired of winter. I miss bugs.

I'm so excited that @lucymaloney.bsky.social is running for Vancouver city council with @onecityvan.bsky.social! She’s been a tireless advocate for safer streets, affordable housing, and caring for our most vulnerable. She’s also just a lovely human being. Let’s get her elected!

Spot the differences: 2024 Victoria cycling map vs. all routes currently under construction or planned for 2025 and 2026 budget cycles. Big focus on new protected bike lanes on arterial and collector streets. There's a lot to look forward to!

Ok, I have seen posts about it but didn't realize it's actually a setting where you can make it so you can't post photos w/o alt text. In case anyone else was also confused on this or doesn't know how, it's under settings-accessiblity and then you just click a box that says require alt text.

This is a good reminder! The Quadra/McKenzie Study is up against significant pushback, primarily around reduced car lanes to support bus lanes and the RapidBus line planned on McKenzie.

I was over the moon when I first saw a humming bird hawk moth hiking in the Sooke Hills this spring - not one, but two on the same trip! Species: Rocky Mountain clearwing (Hemaris thetis)
