This is how it’s done.

Can’t lie. It’s a major comedown after The Game to be watching a Sens Habs game.

It may not be cool or hip in some circles, but we legitimately do need a massive amount of people to run for office. Flood the school boards, councils, county seats, state legislatures, Congress, etc. Big changes at the top happen when the ground shifts at the bottom. And that can start now.

Sure it was Laine in his office but that was all about Hutson’s fakery and then a seeing-eye pass.

I’d forgotten the Habs existed.

Can Monty make a big save?

Yes.

Here's my latest Friday on My Mind column that looks at 5 cool things happening on the weekend, including a tribute to Julien Poulin, a gig w Benjamin Booker, and a photo exhibit about Little Burgundy. www.montrealgazette.com/entertainmen...

Many Montrealers — & I would argue more anglos than francos — are fed up with the Plante govt because they think it's obsessed with biking. Every winter, the bike path on de Maisonneuve in N.D.G. is more clear of snow than the sidewalk and that’s wrong. www.montrealgazette.com/opinion/arti...

In fact, the folks at Cross Country Check Up should've cancelled the show. Ask Canadians what their thoughts are on an authoritarian regime right next door that is threatening to annex our country. Don't use Trump's language. By doing so, you are helping his cause. When CBC reads the room wrong.

Lots of thoughtful social media criticism of our question for Sunday's Checkup and we listened. The new question: what do you think of Trump's comments about Canada becoming the 51st state? The show's being simulcast on more than 100 NPR stations. It's a chance to make your voice heard.

Normally it's important to disagree with everything Lydon says but I saw them in 2003 and the show was a disaster. This would be even worse.

Medicaid is not for sale. NASA is not for sale. The Post Office is not for sale. America is not for sale. We have an obligation to resist kings. We outnumber them. And they can be overwhelmed.

J'aurais rajouté "bitches" mais c'est pas mal.

Cross Country Check Up will actually have a show built around the question "What would Canada as the 51st state mean to you?" Why don't they just give Trump and Musk a couple of hours to threaten and denigrate Canada on the public broadcaster? Totally offensive. The CBC has lost its way.

Here is my column on why the optics are all wrong here for City Hall – the bike path on de Maisonneuve was pristine Monday morning, the day after the blizzard, while the sidewalk across the street was a hill of snow. www.montrealgazette.com/opinion/arti...

Here's my latest Friday on My Mind column. This week I talk up a tribute to Elvis Gratton star Julien Poulin, cool rocker Benjamin Booker, photos of Little Burgundy, ski lessons in Lafontaine Park, and Lou-Adriane Cassidy. www.montrealgazette.com/entertainmen...

Classic Ron

Scary.

Then after the golden goal came the tweet of the year, from Justin Trudeau, who has been doing anything but inspiring us in recent months. "You can’t take our country — and you can’t take our game." BOOM! Did you see that Donald J.? This was a moment. Now let's recall the ambassador from Washington.

I'd say it's the best hockey game I've seen in a couple of decades. Brady Tkachuk hit everything that moved and of course scored. After days of criticism, Jordan Binnington played the game of his life, and Connor McDavid, after fighting the puck all night, scored the most important goal of his life.

The win Thursday night might well be the most important hockey win for Canada since game eight in Moscow in 1972. Really. "Canada needed a win", said Team Canada head coach Jon Cooper. "This was a win for 40-million-plus people."

I'll give it to Ron, that's elite.

‘McDavid vs Goliath and we know who had the slingshot’ - Ron MacLean.

This is a great moment for our country. What did the Baby Man president say today? Our PRIME MINISTER said: You can’t take our country - and you can’t take our game.

This is a moment for our country. Pride man.

McDavid so needed this moment. Lost game seven, won gold.

This is so great!

Why is Gretz repping Canada tonight?

Huge. Canada should be leading. But this will do for now.
