turns out the best subversion is standing on shit you personally believe in and representing values youve built yourself. thats the shit nobody's doing. that's transgressive. not leaning into the alt right for counter culture points. people see you. it's noticed. its embarrassing

The marketing is very funny “this kid just kinda hangs out with aliens in space! There are slight cultural misunderstandings!”

Im never a fan of satire that requires specific knowledges of certain discourses to be aware that it's satire, but hey what do I know, it's da internet baby.

Also, maybe not really the point, but what if the PR around Toy Story 3 was like "It's been confirmed that Lotso Huggins a Stuffed bear, twisted by the despair of being replaced, will be the villain."

thing one, this is obviously very sad. thing two, it seems to reveal something tricky about human life, which is that while our experiences feel deeply individual and personal, many of them, especially things like loss and grief, are incredibly *generalizable*, and we *misrecognize that*

I can attest this is not the case, heck even episodes 1+2 (whoch are now just the demo) is like a good 8-10 or so hours of game right there if you just do a straight run

Also theres so many secrets and weird lil ditties you can miss that you might end up replaying some sections to unlock stuff in future chapters

Its funnn, honesty i think half the fun is the nature of the episodic and like, the fervor of waiting for the next chapter.
