I noticed that the final run was 18Z on 27 February. At first, I thought that the mass firings somehow messed with the GRIB file outputs being available, but then realised that the shutdown of 'coolwx' was intentional.

A warning: this is how things started in the US, and now, widespread de-funding of higher education, and Government/Mush insistence that the conservative point of view is the only correct point of view has begun. I hope the UK can 'nip this in the bud'.

Meanwhile, offshore, Kish Bank and South Rock Down have both been reporting gusts over 180 km/h within the past hour (posted at 0755 GMT). Kish Bank just had a gust of 185 km/h during writing this post.

THAT is the total and absolute truth! I guess what I can see is that the transition that blue collar workers made from the 1950s/1960s to today is what will happen to white collar workers in the next few years.
