SCOTUS' inane instruction to the judge to "show deference to Trump re foreign affairs" is not getting the attention it deserves. This take is on target:

Thanks for paying attention, Jonathan.

Listening to Musk is infuriating because he starts talking before his thought is formed, then spins his wheels in mid sentence deciding what to say. He then spews out 4 or 5 words on top of each other, which he seems to hope will be taken as a sign of intellect. Spare me.

Casar: At the end of the day, this is about taking your hard-earned money and giving it to themselves—or funneling it to their friends. That’s all this is about.

The closest thing I've seen to a plausible plan to deal with Trump thumbing his nose at the courts.

Not for nothing, but how, exactly, is it legal to send people for *punishment* in a foreign prison (esp with no due process)? Were the funds being used for it appropriated for this purpose? I feel this has just become a thing no one questions

A classic.

Those trying to understand the tariffs as economic policy are dangerously naive. No, the tariffs are a tool to collapse our democracy. A means to compel loyalty from every business that will need to petition Trump for relief. 1/ A 🧵 to explain his plan and how we fight back.

It boggles my mind that the reporter interviewing Trump never, never takes the opportunity to ask Trump what law he thinks the object of his persecution has broken. Surely this is the lowest hanging fruit for a journalist.

Maybe we can get Trump to say specifically what the law firms were dishonest about so they can sue him for defamation and take away some of the money's he's now pocketing from bribes. Trump of course knows he's lying, which is why he never is specific in his charges.

More of this! We all know this won’t pass but this is a line in the sand and a great talking point. /cc @shasti.bsky.social
