Can you picture "sheriff or local police" arresting Bondi, Rubio or Homan?

Good idea. Who will do the arresting?

And then?

You're right. We're near the point where the rubber meets the road; a court's first attempt to "effect" an arrest of someone who matters. I'm not optimistic.

Who enforces what the courts rule on? The US Marshals, appointed by Trump.

continuously PRETENDING to miss the point ...

Trump wins by telling intellectually challenged, insecure people who are frustrated by their inability to comprehend complex issues, that the issues are as simple as they want them to be. And that the things upsetting them are someone else's fault. And that relief lies in persecuting that someone.

Why is this maniac being interviewed?

I think the question facing the judge is, what punishment could he impose on Trump that he could make stick?

Per Jonathan Chait, "The real goal of Trump's tariff system is to consolidate power through the granting of exceptions."

Keep up the good work, Farenthold and Singer-Vine. One aspect of Musk's personality astounds me; he seems impervious to ridicule. Maybe target the people around him, like the DOGE "kids?"
comment in response to

An overlooked consequence of these discoveries is what they say about the competence of the DOGE brats, and the damage they might be doing to the government's computer systems. Making errors like this, can they possibly be competent programmers?

It looks as if your post dropped a few bits. What is the gov't's rationale for stating that DHS "paroled you into the United States?" If the claim is blatantly false, why did you not say so? Come on, as a lawyer, you didn't neglect to mention this detail by accident.

And the counter-democratic "features" of American democracy (electoral college, 2 Senators/state, ...) created SCOTUS in its present form.

Are you suggesting that Trump's not involved, and someone else behind the curtain is pulling the strings? Who? Who is giving the Trump lawyer his marching orders?

Is it possible to give these firms the Tesla treatment? Well deserved.

Surely SCOTUS' preposterous, misplaced, irrelevant, ludicrous instruction that the judge show "deference" to Trump in his "conduct of foreign affairs" constitutes malpractice by Chief Justice Roberts. The failure to treat this as a key takeaway from this ruling astounds me.

Musk is hard to follow due to his habit of starting to talk before his thought is formed. He then spins his wheels in mid sentence while deciding what to say. He then spits out 4 or 5 words on top of each other, which he seems to hope will be taken as a sign of intellect.

AND ... Waltz is using his private phone for the group chats.

With every spin, they dig their grave deeper. In this one, they admitted Waltz used his private phone for group chats with classified information.

Musk has the handicap of being utterly, profoundly, stunningly unattractive. He is absolutely devoid of personality. His facial expression, his gestures, and his halting speech are repulsive to the point of inducing vomit.

"Cratered his presidency?" I wish!

I, too, derive joy from falling Tesla stock prices. The difference between Musk and me is I know I'm a jerk (but a jerk in good company, apparently).

I'll greatly respect the Greenlanders if they treat the US Space Force outpost to the mother of all protest demonstrations.

I'd give my good conduct medal to know what the people actually running the Pentagon are saying about Hegseth behind his back. Do you think I could find it on Signal?

Yes, Benghazi is the right model. Learning from the best. Too bad the Dems control neither the House or the Senate.

We're safe then. The Texas voters won't know what he meant.

Their conclusion appears to be the diametric opposite of your summary statement. ie. Extreme candidates do not perform better than moderate candidates.

Who supposedly gets the "dead people" checks in the mail? Who cashes them? How come no one asks Trump/Musk?
