Allosaurus animation test

Before the actual formation piece series started we occasionally did similar images on stream. This one is among the more educational. I love hupehsuchians, they are only known from here. #paleoart #sciart #triassic #paleostream

Here is something you don't see every day: The frozen "mummified" remains of an extinct sabertoothed cat (in this case, a Homotherium cub). www.nature.com/articles/s41...

Some of the paleo maps I've made this year! #dinosaurs #paleoart #cretaceous #jurassic #geology #geography High-res prints available on redbubble. Digital files on my patreon, if you want to use em' for an educational video or something in that vein :)

#skeletalreconstruction for Feeds

Trying to think of a skeletal to share that I haven't really discussed elsewhere, so here's my take on the skeleton of everyone's favorite giant flying reptile, Quetzalcoatlus. The 2021 monograph by Padian, et al. made this worth tackling.

Here are my #skeletalreconstructions of the two Dicraeosaurus species. A pair of interesting & very underrated sauropods.

Trying this again (testing using Feeds), here’s my #skeletalreconstruction of the new diplodocid sauropod Ardetosaurus viator! Very unique dorsal vertebrae for a diplodocid I must say. The Morrison continues to give us new strange sauropods…

▶️ Creating an Art Feed + Advanced Tips! This #tutorial is based on SkyFeed v0.10.0 and is for artists setting up personalized Art Feeds on BlueSky. I used this guide as a basis (kai-blueskytips.carrd.co#one) and added some additional tips! All images have alt text for full context.

I guess we’re gonna attempt to use this again since Twitter continues to fall apart huh

The recently described titanosaur Inawentu oslatus is also one of the most important, as it greatly helps with elucidating the proportions of the poorly known antarctosaurids, of which primarily Antarctosaurus wichmannianus itself & Bonitasaura were used for the missing elements.

The #sauropod #dinosaur Diplodocus carnegii is among the most iconic & classic of all sauropods. Thanks to more recent research into sauropod posture, a very different reconstruction of this classic taxon was created, & once again as a glorious quad multiview.

i got suspended on twitter its over

Skull reconstruction of the lambeosaurine hadrosaur Magnapaulia laticaudus. Two versions included with hypothetical crest options. #sciart #fossilfriday

Multiview skeletal reconstruction of the basal stegosaur Huayangosaurus taibaii, based primarily on ZDM T7001 & supplemented with other specimens as described by Zhao 1984 & Maidment et al. 2006. #SciArt #FossilFriday

Skull reconstruction of the lambeosaurine hadrosaur Corythosaurus casuarius. All the different skull bones are coloured. #sciart

My latest book - Ancient Sea Reptiles (published by NHM London in the UK and Smithsonian Books in the US) - is currently scoring 4.8 out of 5 on amazon, with positive reviews. I really wish people would _stop_ comparing it to Greg Paul's The Princeton Field Guide to Mesozoic Sea Reptiles!!

Hello, my name is Brennon Valdez, the Hell Creek enthusiast. If it pertains to the ecosystem this formation and others represent, I will be there. I will post regularly starting early 2024- looking forward to sharing what this small world has to offer.

Howdy all, my name is Gunnar & I draw skeletals in my free time (primarily of sauropods but other taxa as requested)! Have a Brachiosaurus to start, more to come!
