Chicago. Parent. Fat. Bisexual. Bipolar II. Loud. Still masking. Kind of cute if you squint. Nerdy, but in a way that's fairly socially acceptable now. I have a kid, Nikole, who is she/they and a spouse, N, who is he/him.

God, but I love an actor playing two different characters.

Aw damn, that's someone else in Kes' body.
Absolutely amazing actress, it's a shame she didn't do too much (although she was in SLC Punk).

Kes is putting Neelix on hold. They're on break.
Whew.

In case you were concerned, B'Elanna Torres likes nearly naked hairless guys, not nearly naked hairless girls.
Also Neelix continues being jealous and controlling (without realizing what he's doing?)
"Why haven't you said something before?" she has, buddy. She has.

Neelix is getting a sexy foot rub and I HATE IT.

My girl goes from extremely slow hunt & peck to typing 130 wpm in less than a minute.
This episode has a ton of "hey! it's THAT guy!" in it.

you could fill a whole book with just "public statements by Pope Francis that purport to be about general Catholic teachings or beliefs but are in fact an incredibly specific and direct subtweet of something ONLY the American clergy are doing"

I hate that so many men are taught that the only way to be a man is through violence, anger, and incompetence.

LOL, he walked out of the room to put a plate in the sink then walked back in and picked up right where he left off.
Any time he talks about Tolkien it's this times 1000.
He refuses to watch "The Rings of Power," which I'm glad of bc he'd just rant the entire time it was on.

ANYWAY ham was on sale for $.88 a pound so we've got a big ham in the oven and I'm going to go make macaroni and cheese, send good vibes as I grate five lbs of sharp cheddar.
Place your bets: will my husband trail after me into the kitchen to keep Explaining Wheel of Time To Me? (probably!)

Yes, we are watching "Wheel of Time" and it's taken about two hours to get through this episode bc my husband keeps pausing it to Explain Things To Me.
(This is NOT a complaint, it's adorable, I love it, even though IDGaF about the show in general.)

That is inexcuseable. I am finishing up my initial article now and am awed by Sinners, and am following up this week with more to put this in context. This is not just a major Black success story, it is a major success story period.

The massacre in 1914 is a big reason we got an 8 hour workday and better limits on child labor the next year.
The wars gave the Klan a foothold in this part of Colorado that took decades to eradicate, and resulted in many unmarked graves because white townships refused to record non-white graves.

That’s not sustainable. Generational wealth is not a viable childcare plan for a nation

I just keep thinking about how some friends of ours are thinking about having a second kid and were asking other parents at their daycare how they were managing to pay for more than one kid at a time. ALL of them had help from their parents.
