Quickfire points. The Undead would have different armor sets as costumes. The default would be Solaire. Astro Bot would be a killer Sony rep, if they would ever allow it. Mona would be the defacto Warioware rep (while Wario becomes a Wario Land rep). And, Resident Evil Leon. What do I need to say.

DLC is how I sneak in my extra picks. Bulborbs are so cool, and Pikmin can always use another rep. I saw this post on reddit from a few years ago of a hypothetical moveset for Bulborb, and its never left my brain. www.reddit.com/r/Pikmin/com...

And I almost forgot Oatchi! He's not just a dog, but a captain, and an incredibly overpowered Pikmin. He's super duper cute and I would main him. He'd have a Moss alt.

For guest characters, I went with Eggman, who I've been wanting since Brawl, and the Doom Slayer, as a Microsoft rep. Doom is such a 'classic' franchise, I feel it's inclusion is Smash is only a matter of time. Maybe his 'glory kills' could make players explode with food when he Smashes them.

Mike Jones from Startropics, Prince Sable and Isaac from Golden Sun are my 'retro' pics, from long dormant franchises. I think Startropics is a cool game that Nintendo isn't interested in doing anything with, but I like the fun attitude of Mike, so I think he'd be a great pick.

Nia is my first real 'meh' rep IMO. The only Xenoblade I've played is Chronicles X, and I didn't like it. But, I do like Nia's design, so I chose her. Xenoblade is such a big franchise for Nintendo, it's gonna get a new rep. And Noah (XC3) just doesn't have the sauce, so I went with Nia.

Koraidon and Miraidon is our obligatory Pokemon rep. But this time, it's a legendary! You would be able to choose which one to play as, as a costume change. What I like about these two, is that they play a key role in the game, functioning as your buddy Pokemon. And I just think they're neat.

Raven Beak is the second new rep from Metroid Dread. I just think he has a neat design, and he makes a great boss fight. There's not a lot of Metroid characters who can fit the 'humanoid' requirements for Smash characters, but, Raven Beak does.

For my newcomers, I wanted 10 new characters, with a focus on dormant Nintendo properties first. The first is Birdo. Birdo doesn't have a lot of defined character, aside from shooting eggs and playing sports. But I feel her inclusion could do for her, what Smash did for Yoshi. And I just like her.

S5 E1: Thirteen wants to save an ectopic pregnancy baby "Can't you save the baby rather than killing it?". Oh my god what do you mean YOU'RE A DOCTOR.

Super Castlevania IV. This was great. I think the weakest part was the music, but this really hit the sweet spot for difficulty. The pixelart is still gorgeous. And that whip - ho boy. Multidirectional. Whip. Action.

Kid Dracula (NES). This was delightful from start to finish. I love the cute characters and Alucard's abilities are really fun. The difficulty made this one a lot more approachable, and that I loved - Honestly don't see the appeal in making these games are hard as possible. This hit the right spot.

Castlevania II: Belmont's Revenge. A vast improvement on the last Game Boy game, but still incredibly difficult. But everything in this game feels *better* than the last, so I will give it that. Still much too slow for my preference, and I will never be playing it again. Thank you.

Castlevania The Adventure. Genuinely horrendous. I dislike everything about this game. Anyone who beat level 3 and 4 without save-states is a true vampire killer.

Shout-out to Mad Forest for being an absolute banger. youtu.be/hPbKUdFvbeM

My major complaint with this game, is the incredibly brutal difficulty. This time, it's less bullshit, and just more unforgiving challenge. Level 7 in particular has large segments with pitfalls and jumping enemies, that when you die (very easy to do), sends you back minutes at a time. Fun game tho.

Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse. A return to form. This improves on everything that Castlevania 1 set out to do. The ambition is toned down from II, but still feels like a step-up in all areas, including graphics, music, enemies, levels and characters, of which there are multiple now. (1/2)

to know where to go and what to do. The focus on puzzles and innovation hurt the game's overall quality, as enemies, level design, music, subweapons, bosses, all feel a significant step-down from the first game. I admire what they were going for, but they didn't hit the mark. (2/2)

Castlevania II: Simon's Quest. What Konami tried to do here was very ambitious - an open world with towns, NPCs, puzzles, a day and night cycle. But the tech just wasn't there yet. So in actuality, you have this annoying slog of a game that requires a guide to decipher puzzles and even just (1/2)

Castlevania (I). A excellent first entry into the series that is still fun - that said the difficulty is genuinely unfair and really puts a damper on the experience. Tried beating it without using save states, but gave up on that notion during level 4. Still, great game.
