I also have to say that I found this thread v interesting. I hadn’t thought about this much before, and hadn’t thought about how people might do this differently. A bit like the “how do you picture an apple” thing.

I definitely have a strong internal voice. I can skim but need to turn the voice off - this is hard work so I don’t usually do it.
The voice is there for maths too but I think it mostly switches off for things that are easy/straightforward for me.
