I attended the 70th Anniversary Observance of the Polio vaccine at Pitt this afternoon. I had the great privilege of meeting the son of Dr. Jonas Salk, Dr. Peter Salk. This vaccine has saved millions of people from a lifetime of pain and suffering, or in extreme cases, death.
