They gave money to conniest con man ever. It wasn't hard to see this as an outcome.

I can't wait to see his advice on high grocery bills.

It's probably just gas.

Not surprising. He is allergic to criticism and accountability.

My only hope is that most of that group realizes that they were bamboozled before it gets much worse.

Ssh private keys are meant to be private. It's on the creator/user of those keys (whoever is using PuTTy and not the creator of PuTTy) to keep them private. If they are leaked, then it is on the user to replace them asap. Best practice is to replace them regularly.

He created a tool, and most using PuTTy wouldn't even know who he was (I didn't), let alone respect his opinion if he even had one. Hassling him would be sending the wrong message. Instead, effort should be aimed at blocking Musk and stripping him of authority.

What about him? PuTTy has been around for decades as a free/open source ssh and telnet client. I remember using it when I still used Windows. I don't think he has any meaningful connection to Musk.

Westmoreland (sp?) was so eloquent. He nailed it.

What is he trying to roll out exactly? Another Venmo/Zelle/Paypal/Cashapp? I think he might be a few decades too late, but let him make another and fleece those who cannot see how putting money into twitter or anything led by him is a terrible idea.

I don't think the Fluoride point is as powerful as you think. The average person is going to mock you for defeating that when people are having trouble with affording basic needs. Focus on helping the common person instead of symbolic causes that do next to nothing now.

What about reforming the senate so that people are fairly represented? Wyoming, with its 590k, should not be able to silence NJ's 9.5mil. Adding more senators to mre populous states would go a long way in enabling the solutions on that list.

Someone by me is missing this exact point. They were saying how it can mess up, but when it works, it is impressive. Part of me wants to speak up, but I don't want to waste time getting into an argument over it.

This is why I worry about AI in my field. We are trading quality for speed, and people see it as a win. Then there is how it impacts newer people. They don't have the experience to spot the BS and only care if it "works." I suspect this is why I have been seeing more bugs in mainstream apps.

Yep, 6mo old. She is hilarious.

I know what I know, and no one will ever take that from me. Sadly, people are apathetic, but bc most are trying to survive themselves. I figure living my best life and trying my best to change how things are how are ways how I can honor my past. But that's my take.

People tend to be stupid and ignorant. They only care about their immediate situation. That's why I try to better myself. So that I can help others see past themselves.

I am someone who is the product of the Armenian Diaspora, and I get it. You are who you are, and nothing will ever change that. War and genocide happen because humanity is deeply flawed, but individuals have no control over that. All you can do is be the best person you can be.

That's the problem with being young and impressionable. They don't know what they don't know, and they don't have the experience to realize their heros might be villians or at least selfish narcissists who will bulldoze those in need for power and misplaced admiration.

Hamas is definitely part of the problem. It sucks that there are so many people who have decided that people need to die because of their ethnic background.

What is an appropriate way to help Palestinians, given the mess over there?

This is textbook conflict of interest. He needs to be kicked to the curb.

Good for you. Always worrying about how messed up things are is not sustainable.
comment in response to post
Thankfully (or sadly🤣), it's already fixed.

Interesting article. Time will tell if this is sustained or not.
