Embracing both high culture and low culture, the book expanded the definition of architecture, recognizing that architecture is not just about style but also about understanding how people interact with their environment. The “Nolli Map” of Vegas already contains all this in a single image, perhaps

If (like me) you grew up with and loved this cover but didn't know its origin, it's a crop of Gregory Crewdson's "Untilted (Beer Dreams)". Utterly charmed by Jim Venturi’s loving film Stardust about his parents Bob & Denise Scott Brown, screened this evening by the Architecture Foundation, as much a romantic comedy as about the buildings, but with biting things to say about women in architecture. Deserves wide distribution.

Redrawing from scratch an entire 3d model of a project shows (besides a very long list of errors to be corrected in the model itself) a consistent overall plasticity that pleases me a lot.

Some excellent local historical gems that have plenty to teach us about housing solutions even today. Do visit if you get a chance. --- The road of council houses in South London that was built by its residents | getwestlondon - MyLondon search.app/CE53kBwMEQnG... #se23 #honoroak #blythehill

this is the best #StarterPack I've seen on #Architecture and #BuiltEnvironment; and among the earliest. Thanks for building this, @brunotonelli.bsky.social ( #Brescia and #London)! 🙏. bsky.app/profile/brun...
