Great point! mRNA vaccines moved fast due to years of research and major funding. Nasal vaccines face unique challenges (like delivery to mucosal tissue and measuring immunity) but new tech like codon deoptimization is helping speed things up.

I understand it does feel slow, especially with such promising data. But regulatory timelines are meant to ensure safety at every step. The good news is that progress has accelerated post-pandemic, so with strong results, fast-tracking is possible. Fingers crossed we see it sooner rather than later!

Thanks for asking! CDO-7N-1 has already entered clinical trials and is showing promising results. While it’s still under evaluation, if future phases confirm safety and efficacy, it could move toward regulatory approval in the next few years. Definitely an exciting candidate to follow!

Allergy symptoms in one eye would be rare, but individual cases can vary. It might be worth consulting an eye care professional to better understand potential causes and management options. Thank you for bringing this up, eye health is such an important topic to discuss!

I wanted to share some resources that might be helpful: Diabetes UK offers guidance for managing diabetes-related complications, and RNIB (Royal National Institute of Blind People) provides support for eye health and vision issues. Both are great starting points! www.diabetes.org.uk www.rnib.org.uk

I’m truly sorry to hear about your experience. It’s disheartening when patients feel dismissed or unsupported by healthcare professionals. Your persistence in seeking answers is inspiring, and I hope you find the understanding and care you deserve. Thank you for sharing your story!

I’m so sorry to hear about your experience, that sounds incredibly frustrating and dismissive. You deserve to feel heard and supported by your healthcare providers. Have you been able to find a professional or specialist who’s been more helpful since then?

Thank you for sharing your experience! It’s great to hear that omega-3s have been helpful for your dry eye. Managing Type 1 diabetes and sensitivities sounds challenging. Have you discussed your routine with an eye care professional? Would love to hear more about your journey!

By emphasizing his proposed policies without addressing his anti-science rhetoric, the article risks painting an incomplete and misleading picture of his public health priorities or the broader impact of his policies if they were to be implemented. 7/

This article present RFK Jr.'s ideas as practical and sensible, glossing over the broader harm caused by his misinformation campaigns. In this article, I go in depth of the consequences of his misinformation campaigns, most notably, the measles outbreak in Samoa in 2019. 6/

While prevention is a crucial goal, RFK Jr.'s track record of undermining vaccination programs (one of the most cost-effective prevention tools) makes this stance contradictory. He's ignorant to the fact that many infectious diseases cause chronic disease like HPV, HIV, Hepatitis B, etc. 5/

Let me get this straight. He wants stricter FDA involvement while also promoting anti-regulatory stances and attacks on institutions like the CDC and FDA over vaccines, eroding public trust in these agencies. He's awfully quiet about the predatory unregulated dietary supplement industry. 4/

While advocating for food regulation is reasonable, RFK Jr.'s broader rejection of established science undermines the credibility of his claims. His history of promoting misinformation detracts from the scientific integrity needed for effective policy reform. 3/

Chronic disease prevention is vital, but RFK Jr.'s anti-vaccine rhetoric directly undermines public health strategies that prevent infectious diseases from contributing to chronic illnesses. Presenting him as a champion of prevention ignores this contradiction. 2/

This is heartbreaking and unacceptable. How can we trust a system that repeatedly prioritizes profits over patient well-being? Stories like this highlight the urgent need for accountability and reform in how insurers and doctors make decisions that impact people’s lives.

@unbiasedscipod.bsky.social @drandrealove.bsky.social I’d love to hear your expert insights on the push to revoke vaccine approval. Your perspectives would add so much value to this important conversation!

What are your thoughts on this push to revoke vaccine approval? How can we better combat misinformation and rebuild trust in science? Let’s discuss below. ⬇️ 10/

Vaccines work. Polio is a story of triumph over a deadly disease, and we should be learning from it—not undermining it. Let’s stand up for science and protect public health for everyone. 🌍💉 9/

The legacy of the polio vaccine isn’t just historical; it’s a living reminder of the power of public health interventions. Dismissing this vaccine would jeopardize future generations, undoing decades of progress. 8/

Beyond public health, this debate affects trust in science and healthcare systems. Disregarding established vaccines risks setting a dangerous precedent for evidence-based medicine. Trust in vaccines must be defended. 7/

As recently as 2022, an unvaccinated man in New York was paralyzed by polio, evidence that the virus still circulates. Experts warn: it’s “an airplane ride away.” Without vaccines, localized outbreaks could easily escalate. 6/

The petition also comes amid falling vaccination rates in the U.S. Diseases like measles & whooping cough are resurging. Weakening vaccine confidence could bring polio back—a disease we eliminated here decades ago. 5/
comment in response to post
Calls to revoke polio vaccine approval disregard decades of safety data. The argument that it lacks placebo-controlled trials ignores ethical standards: withholding vaccines would risk paralysis & death. The real risk lies in inaction, not vaccination. 4/
